I'm sure we already would be if there was enough oil to offset our import needs, but since there isn't I think better gas mileage is the way to go.

From what I read GM and others are suppose to start introducing a bunch of hybrid cars and trucks over the next few years. Not just super compact cars, but trucks that can haul trailers etc. I'm for the adds if they make people think about what they are doing and help push the demand for fuel efficient cars and trucks.

It depends on the situation Sexy. If Trask has a bunch of stuff he doesn't want broke under the trees that he's taking down then it takes more time to kill them and thus more money.

I do it all the time; people plant the wrong tree in the wrong spot all the time. I also don't have any issue at all with the example you sited earlier. What I do take issue with is calling a species of tree a junk tree. Sure you can have a BLM in a bad spot, however that doesn't make the species junk. It sounds like you have some issues with tall native trees. If thats the case then don't buy a house in the forest.

Catbird aka Idiot. I'm an Arborist and I work as much as I want to. I always try and promote the right tree in the right place. There are many times I would recomend someone remove a tree due to its location in the landscape, but there are plenty of nice BLMs all over the city. All tree drop limbs and leaves. It sounds like you are too lazy to get out in the yard and pick stuff up. This Judge cut trees in a city park. A city park is an ideal place for a large native tree, which a BLM is.

It never would have happened Drew. If the judge couldn't show me a current permit to cut trees I would have walked away. Also even if he had a permit for, "pruning," ie topping the fuck out those trees I still would have walked away. Man that landscaper guy cut down 100 trees for $1,100. What a sucker; no wonder the judge hired him. The best punishment would be for the judge to be surrounded in his house with a bunch of angry ents.

009 and I skied up to Arrowhead today. We found lots of interesting snow conditions some of which were'nt to bad for skiing. The sun was out and we got some great views. Dave, you really aren't one who should complain about spelling.
