I'm not sure a 1 pitch route counts as the hardest route in the Cascades. Likewise I don't know if I would agree with GK's choice of Liberty crack. I know the roof is a super hard free climb, but it's only 1 pitch. Didn't someone just finish a hard free route on Baring last summer? Also NNB free could be a canidate.

Don't forget the spring ski in.

I've invested my savings in beer

What a money grubber. You would think he would be happy with just having the story about Richard Simmons slapping him.
-
I think GK did mention Liberty crack free. I've never climbed in the Alps, but lets face it the Canadian Rockies are a big step up from Cascade Routes.
-
Exactly, You've got your pick of Washington Pass spring alpine climbing or spring skiing. And if Goat Wall is dry you can climb multi pitch sport.

So what you're saying is you'd like to shit dick your SO Scottie

I'm not saying it was hard; I just don't see the need for email lists for classes. It sounds like it just makes things more confusing.

I got through college without email or the web.

I hear if you kill Dru and mush up his brains and eat them you will soon start claiming FA's on routes that have been climbed 10 year before.
-
If you guys do that I'll be impressed; just remember to get lots of photos.

I've never seen those videos, but I've seen presentations by those guys. They're kind of into excessive rigging; great for a demonstration, but when you're working on a bid job you rarely have time for that stuff. If you really want to be like me I can give you a free starter course in brush dragging, chipping, and raking. I might even buy you a latte if you show up a few days in a row.

The worst slide show I ever saw was one Jim Bridwell did. He's a great climber and the route he climbed was hard core, but he should have hired someone to do the presentation. I've never seen a slideshow by CB or Kitty. Perhaps you guys should leave CB alone and slag on jja for being a star struck name droppin sucka

The good skiing starts at the head of the valley. If it takes a couple of hours for you to ski up the flat part of the valley you may want to choose a shorter tour next time. Either that or make it a two day trip and camp at the head of the valley. -
If I read the WSDOT Hwy20 web site correctly it looks like they've plowed past Washington pass on the east side.

All I have to say is Chacalnhide sounds a lot like Jeckyll and Hyde. She(?) does have a unique IP though.

We aren't interested in negativenessies.

She works with Mark G...that shows a lack of taste.

Tele, I believe that someone shouldn't give a soldier orders or comment on military strategy without a more indepth understanding of the situations soldier(s) may face, however I think all American citizens have a responsibility to make political decisions that effect soldiers. In the case of Iraq our present administration grossly exagerated the case for weapons of mass distruction (there are none) and our administration also exagerated the case for forgein terrorists in Iraq. Like it or not those were the reasons put forward for war. Saddam was a bad person, but there are many bad leaders that fuck over their countries. I don't see the US doing anything about them. For example why the hell don't we take out Saudi Arabia. They're really fucked and that's where Osama and most of the 9/11 folks came from. We have a bad ass military but we still need to have support from the rest of the world. We had support for Gulf war 1, and nobody said much when we went into Afganistan, but we had no support for going into Iraq. Our current administration makes a decision and then finds the facts it likes to back up the decision they already made. As far as I'm concerned that is the worst way to make any kind of decision let alone a decision that costs American lives. Real Americans will vote losers like GW out of office this year.

If I was Luke I would try and edit what photos I posted more critically...however I'm not. You have bagged on folks for not climbing hard # grades Luke. I know you're bummed at being slammed because you're bouldering, but if you slam back too much you'll be just the same as the slammers. Have fun at the type of climbing that turns your crank the most.

I bet Dru's ears were burning last week. I'll try and post some photos soon.

Too bad the asskicking would be over in a heartbeat, Scott being a pencil necked geek and all. Who's moving this to spray?
