  1. If I had my way all you commuting suckers would take the bus leaving the highway open for trucks. I ain't talking about hummers either I mean real trucks...If you own a pickup you'd have to prove you needed to haul more than you could fit into a backpack.
  2. Using the grocery store analogy I don't have a problem with trying to snake someone before you hit the line up, as long as you're not too aggro, but once the lineup starts thats when the no cutting rule applies.
  3. No Ken I take the law into my own hands.
  4. that's fine as long as you don't cut. It's not really different from changing lanes.
  5. Because single in the carpool lane is like cutting in front of someone at the checkout line. Speeding is only a problem if you drive erratically or cause a wreck.
  6. The trail system just west of Boulder in the flatirons is really good. You can do some long hikes.

    Room for Rent

Yes but you live in the hellhole of the North Sound.
  8. lane
  9. Oh your hero, whatever.... I'll one up that. The next time I see you single in the HOV lane single I'll run you off the road in my dump truck...cheater.
  10. I would watch out for afternoon thunderstorms, and you shouldn't underestimate the number of folks who are out bagging 14ers. Everybody and their brother is out at 4AM on the trail to Longs Peak. We climbed a route on Meaker one time, and we had to run by the cattle train on the trail for a mile or more listening to angry people yelling at us for not saying, "on your right." There are some cool 13ers above Boulder. Arapaho Peak above Nederland is a cool walk up, and there's even a pocket glacier on it. Mt Meaker has some scramble routes on it, and you can see it from the plains. There's a, "glacier," on a peak right next to the Petit Grepon that would be a good hike. Hiking up towards Spearhead and Chief's head isn't really scrambling, but it takes you into an area of the park that is less used.
  11. All the Norwegian gang bangers I know are descended from Vikings that were raped by monkeys. All I have to do is throw them a couple bananas and they'll go away.
  12. So you expect a giant highway through a extremely low population area that traverses a bunch of mountains.
  13. Oh I read what you wrote. You sound like an ugly american whining about how everything isn't like this in the good old usa.
  14. no, a rental place in ballard.
  15. If you had a brain Josh you would have skipped Vancouver and taken I-90 to Spokane then headed north through Idaho to Cranbrook, Golden and the Rockies. I've had my truck broken into right in front of my house, so I don't think you can draw any conculsions based on license plates.

  17. The real question is why do you need to go through Vancouver to get to the Canadian Rockies...

    More Bush

Ya know your tighty righties are all fucked up. JGowans may not have the right to vote here, but I bet he has the right to vote somewhere. Lets face it a lot of things Bush has done have international effects. Even if JG has no right to say anything about American politics he has a right to express his opinion about things that have international effects. George W Bush has squandered most of the international good will that we've built up since WW2. Maybe we don't need to cooperate with other nations right now, but eventually something will slip and we'll need some help. Too bad other nations will have a low opinion of us. Hey Fairweather last time I saw you post you were whining about Trask getting banned and Seattle liberals...not that you don't always whine about Seattle liberals.
  19. I've gone to IC a couple of times and proudly taped up every day. Aid climbing with out ladders is fun.
  20. Those guys sure can run and jump.
  21. I think we should plan on having our party either the 24th of April or the 1st of May.
  22. Man you're sensitive about sport climbing . I wasn't even dissing on it. All I'm saying is that any one pitch climb, sport or trad, doesn't count as the hardest route in the cascades. I'm sure the HOB is hard and only a couple people can do it, but because it's only one pitch it lacks commitment. On a one pitch climb if you can't do it you lower back down to the ground. On a bigger route you may have to do a bunch of nasty bullshit to get off of it partway up. Anyway one of the climbs I nominated is a multipitch sport route on Baring. I don't remember the details. It may only be a wimpy 5.12 route, but it is pretty long.
  23. Dru may be too busy posting to get this.
  24. Ya know I'm thinking what you've done may be several magnitudes more patetic then all the bouldering photos Distel's posted.
  25. I edited your tr to improve the photo format.
