    Was Cheney right?

This was forwarded by a friend of mine today. This Where and when did his opinion change?
  2. That's because when I go climbing with a canadian they're usually screwing the pooch, so it's kind of a natural conversational turn.

  10. last week on Rainier I saw a guy with one prosthetic leg and another guy who was blind.
  11. Trip: Rainier - DC Date: 7/11/2007 Trip Report: A buddy of mine moved to Albuqerque about 10 years ago and in that time he's made friends with some like minded folks who wanted to climb Rainier. He asked if I'd help them get up there and I obliged. We threw in3 locals and made a team of 11. We stayed at Cougar Rock on the 8th and on the 9th headed up to muir in gorgeous conditions. We made it to Muir in good shape and stayed the night there, most in the hut but a couple of tents. We ended up leaving one of our party at Muir; he just didn't feel he could make it. The next day we got up and made a leisurely jaunt up to Ingraham Flats. The New Mexico folks experienced their first ever crevasse crossing on the Cowlitz and were impressed. We had a great day at the flats and all retired at 6:00 in anticipation of our midnight wake up call. When midnight came we were treated to beautiful conditions, virtually no wind at all! We headed out at 1:00 and took our first break at the top of the cleaver where we were all in awe of seeing the Northern Lights! What a spectacular sight! We left the cleaver and came upon a great crevasse crossing; from a snow bridge onto a serac, down and to the left with an off camber corner that was nicely exposed. Those New Mexico boys puckered on that one! A few hundred feet from that there was another bridge to serac to bridge to glacier crossing. Either the guide service or the park service set up pickets for running belays on that one. After that it was just the typical up and up and up till we hit the crater rim at 6:45 am. Great weather on the summit! THe trip down was mostly uneventful, albeit warm and slushy. One of the snow bridges (the one with the running belay) had collapsed sometime after we crossed on the way up, so a little route finding was needed on the way down. The steak at the Copper Creek in was great! Gear Notes: Typical glacier. Make sure you Bring your pickets Approach Notes: Typical

  13. No use crying over an unmade bed You spilled you milk now lie in it
  14. I've had it done in both knees; to the best of my knowledge if the tear is severe enough and the meniscus will flop around, may as well get it done. I had my first one done in 92 (I was 32) and I healed reltively quick. The second one was in 97 and I was in much better shape. It healed very quick. I was hiking, climbing and running in 2 months.
  15. Oh….come on……getting a blow job and jacking off are not the same at all….. Is that a real rocket science degree you have or an honorary?
  16. Matt - I believe that integrity is the single most important quality in a leader. It never ceases to amaze me how people gloss over a little marital infidelity. If he doesn't take his marriage vows seriously, why in the world would we believe he took his oath of office seriously. All of the lies Bush is accused of seem to focus around his protecting wealth and power (his and others), his foisting of his ideological agenda on the Arab World. You can argue whether this is right or wrong....but it's at least behavior befitting a power hungry politician. And Clinton's???....blowing his wad on a stupid chubby little intern's dress....who saved it??? Who's the dumbass? Actually, I believe that Clinton is guilty of behaving like a power hungry politician as well. Just the same as others (both republicans and demorcats) have shot their wad on and in pages, interns, seceretaries. It really is an old tired argument. Neither side is any better than the other when it comes to values. With very few exceptions, they sold out on them early on in the ascension to power. Hell, I'm willing to bet that before Bush got sober (and probably after) he's taken advantage of women that would throw themselves at him.
  17. Got this via e-mail from a friend today. Unfortunately, I'm gainfully employed: Hey Everyone, My next-door neighbor Joe has a business called Harrington Tower and is looking for additional summer help (www.harringtower.com); he paints, repairs and maintains radio towers. It's not an absolute necessity that one be a climber to work for him, but you do need to be comfortable in a harness high above the ground. I know he has a big job in Portland this summer and would like to find some people in the Vancouver area who wouldn't have to drive so far. Also, he may have a need to add to his local crew, too. If you know anyone, call him at 760-9191.

    The new gestapo

Interesting that it's not in the public record anywhere like other Capitol Police arrests.....Seems like the liberal media is up to their old tricks again. Oh, wait, this came from a conservative "news" source? My bad, I have to believe it.
  19. Dude, she's a she-male. If she's in your spank-bank, you're a freak. Yeah, but she's the closest thing to a real woman the right wingers have. I mean it was her or Ted Haggard. Easy choice there.
  20. I wish you guys would stop busting on Ann Coulter. Just to prove I'm not a flaming liberal just because I hate George Bush; I was going to put Ann in my spank bank. These images of her you are creating are going to make that task impossible. So, if I don't have her in the spank bank, does that make me liberal?
  21. You haven't really thought that one through - have you? elaborate.
  22. who said anything about moving to Canada? I suppose I could plead guilty to naked partisan zeal. As long as it's defined as equal disdain for both current predominant parties. Call me what you want, I still believe what I believe and one of those beliefs is that this is still the best place to live on the planet. I'm checking out now, you whack jobs bore me.
  23. Ha Ha, you are funny!
  24. I would say the tattoo of Hitler would be a no brainier not to date this gentleman. Even if he has a rather large penis. Not to mention the "W" on the upper fore head.
