Trask is the lead bathroom trombone and skin flute player at cc.com's banned camp.
-
Actually, I have it from a good source that Trask is currently smoking turds in purgatory waiting for an opening in the "get a dirty sanchez from satan" line.

Rates right up (down) there with a poo thread... Mods, could you move this to spray, or splatter, or whatever the fuck this hernia thing will do. MP & MF, set up a web cam so we can follow the drama!

So, anyone else notice that gas has gone up a few cents a gallon since the beginning of the week? I'm not saying.....I'm just saying.........

Gregoire asked for a re-count (within state election law). Rossi took it to court then when he lost he slammed the state supreme court for being too partisan to have a chance at an appeal. Rossi is an asshole.

But no one delivered the punchline better than Drew Carey!

Uh, we don't convict people of sins, we convict them of crimes. I believe there is a difference. Depending on your beliefs or non beliefs, the judgement of sins will come at the appropriate time.

It occurs to me that an impartial non-partisan (or better yet bi-partisan) fact finding of events leading up to the botched offensive in Iraq would be a good thing. All involved in the political process leading up to it should be held accountable, although one could argue that based on yesterday's election results many have been held accountable. An impeachment right now would be revenge based and that is the last thing we need. What both major parties need right now is a better working together strategy.

Literalism is a simpleton's refuge. The fact (I mean, implication) that you think liberals need refuge speaks volumes about you; doesn't it? I believe (with all of my moral convictions)what he was implying was that simpletons need refuge and take it in literalism. Dork.

I think conviction is a better term than moral values in describing the right. I agree that the left believe that their positions are driven by their set of moral values. What pisses me off is about the right is that they try to characterize fundamemtalist christianity as the only true morality. Just ask Ann Coulter. We liberals are godless.
-
I'm somewhat liberal myself, but I take what I hear on NPR with a grain of salt. I do believe that coming off the "moral values" agenda would significantly decrease the Republican voter base.
-
The problem is that the ultra conservatives that the republican party panders to are very passionate about the anti-gay agenda. If they lose interest in this, they lose a major portion of their base. Not that they'd swing liberal, there just wouldn't be busloads of bible belters going to the polling places to keep their agenda alive.

Things are getting so bad that Evangelical White House Advisers are turning to gay sex and drugs! Boy I really envy those holier than thou morals!

I did mis-speak. I have always referred to that piece sewn into both leg loops as the belay loop. When I tie in, I tie through both that and the waistband. When I belay or rappel, my biner goes through both. Here is what BD's site says about the Alpine Bod: " When tying the climbing rope to your harness, always tie it to the waistbelt tie-in loop and leg loop cross piece correctly. When using belay and rappel devices, they should only be attached to the belay loop. " Intersting that the Alpine Bod doesn't appear to have a Belay Loop.
-
I just checked the BD website. I did not know that the Bod now comes with an official belay loop. The alpine bod is still the same old configuration. The bod instructions for use say only tie in through the belay loop; for the alpine bod it say use the leg crosspiece and the waist belt. Best advice? Follow the manufacturers instructions and replce worn equipment.

I've used a BD Bod Harness for years and that's how that one is designed, locking pear biner through the belay loop and waist belt.

Hey! Leave Lynnwood out of this!!

No, it appears that Seattle will annex Aberdeen, as well as a whole bunch of other Real Estate. Getting Aberdeen gives Seattle a "Womb to Tomb" monopoly on the Kurt Cobain legacy, eh?

If you want pure redneck look no further (actually, you couldn't) than the little burg of Selleck that is east of Ravensdale. I looked at buying a house out there about 15 years ago and someone who knew the area asked if I had approached any of the locals and asked if it's be o.k. if I moved there. It did look rather "Deliverenceish"

Climb: Goat Rocks - Mt. Curtis Gilbert- Date of Climb: 8/20/2006 Trip Report: Pretty straight forward trip. We started at the Snowgrass Flats TH, took the bypass on Trail 97 and hit the PCT to Cispus Basin. Camp sites weren't scarce, but not plentiful either. We set up camp on a shelf at approx. 6,400'. Nice afternoon of lounging around and in the early evening we wathched the goats frolicking above us. Sunday morning we left camp at about 8:00 and ascended to Cispus pass where we followed a boot path to the first ascent gulley. From there is was a combination of ascending scree and crossing gulleys (5 I believe) until we came out to the summit ridge. When we arrived a the pass there was a herd of about 40 or so goats heading up the route. Luckily, they left plent of organic cairns to help us find our way! Also, there were several well placed man made cairns to help us find our way up the gulleys. Once we arrived at the summit ridge, it was easy route finding to the easy scramble to the summit. We topped out @ 11:00, had some summit cookies, took photos (to be posted later) and started the nasty scree descent. back to the cars by 5:00. Beautiful weather, gorgeous views and other than a couple of pretty sore feet an exceptionally enjoyable trip. Gear Notes: Helmets should be worn here! Approach Notes: Easy trail approach to Cispus basin, very straight forward.
