  1. The link states: From the north, on 5/22 the 2329 was mostly snow free until a little past Keene's horse camp. It should be open to Killen now.

  3. Alisse, Maude would probably require a lot of walking but the N face could be good! Let us know if you hit that. I would skip climbing it, personally, since it was kind of unpleasant when I went and did a stupid traverse in, but YMMV.
  4. I second going up the S climb, via the summer route. The exit traverse as I've used it is not too high, roughly 7500' level from the obvious flat bottom of the chutes. Like this: http://www.hillmap.com/m/ag1zfmhpbGxtYXAtaGRychULEghTYXZlZE1hcBiAgIDUvPi3CQw As heinzsd said, there will be some walking. I think some people traverse higher, but that sounds shitty since I want to ski fall line and there's an obvious flat end of the route as I've marked it.
  5. Stove is always worth the weight on a Rainier overnight.
  6. Such a good tour, thanks for the report. Might be time to head back.
  7. Beautiful, thanks for the post. An area I want to visit with the boards for sure some time.
  8. @Chris Hopkins has the beta. You can probably find more by searching around for trip reports on TAY for this time of year: http://www.turns-all-year.com/skiing_snowboarding/trip_reports/index.php
  9. It's all weather dependent. If you end up with enough viz and not too much wind, it's doable but expect a lot of fairly flat road skinning. Typically, people start skiing that route some time in May.
  10. Great TR, beautiful photos as usual. Lots of terrain for mind-surfing out there, like Sefrit, whoah!

Anybody recently looked at the Spur? Curious about snow conditions for skiing
  12. Must be in very good shape, some folks climbed and skied it last weekend (Instagram beta).
  13. For your enjoyment, some nice photos from a TAY poster (dated 6/25) http://imgur.com/a/3HsA9
  14. Very cool trip, inspiring. We went in there with skis this Spring and found the trail to Honeymoon meadows to be a bit sketchy when covered with plugs of snow!
  15. Seattle-based climber here also interested in conditions, mainly for purposes of skiing. Ice on Spur?
  16. Awesome tour, guys. We saw your tracks while doing the Forbidden tour (http://www.turns-all-year.com/skiing_snowboarding/trip_reports/index.php?topic=36253.0) and thought "WTF?" Nice!
