  1. Bring you're shit up with you silly. Sport rax be light eh.
  2. Cowdog is a fun one for sure. Interesting that it was FA'ed as a free solo and bolted on lead; 2009 if I'm not mistake-- Pretty cool that something that fun was only recently found (published, I guess). Be sure to walk off past Easy's to Misery Ridge as the rap is a load of shit as I've gathered from watching folks try it. More Kevin than Sandy is well worth sending on you way up the gully too. As for Shipwreck, I'd be down to pull some choss with you too there white boy.

Its only fun if you are into drinking, shouting, heckling, and doing those with another thousand people. You can even print off a chants sheet from the webz. Planted trees with Joey (dude that saws off the slabs when they get a goal) and some of the other shmucks in PR with Friends fo Trees over the weekend. Twas pretty fun ordering around a guy that make more a year than what I am worth. He even managed to get his Alaskan Airlines sponsored Patagucci hardshell dirty
  6. Thats some good advice right there; I'ma gonna have to get me a gu flask! Have you tried adding things to make it flavored? I get my B-vitamins from nutritional yeast, but I could use electrolytes and those usually taste pretty good. As for the salty rumors, if you actually do the calculations you would have to make the water saltier than you could drink before you saw a noticeable drop in the freezing temp. At least I learned something practical in chem class. Too bad liquids aren't compressible, then you could save space and keep them from freezing!
  7. Some great stuff there, Aaron. I watched most of your vimeo vids while trying to wrap my head around transfer functions and control systems. Uber thanks for the stoke!
  8. Adam, that's funny you mention Red Dihedral. That's been on my need-to-clean list for two years. I guess I'm not the only one that thinks it's a worthwhile project. Chad Hey Chad! I think I saw you at the Circuit the other week. I'm up in your neck of the woods now; near PCC Cascade. Hit me up iffens you find yourself itching to get out as I have four day weekends now. Fit work for five courses in there some how. To not drift too much- Kyle, check this out! http://cascadeclimbers.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/1056141/Trout_Creek_this_weekend_carpo#Post1056141 jump into the wack world of crack at the best place and with a more than competent leader (from what I have heard since I've never climbed with him)
  9. awww, come now boy, you said you had school! you can't be shirking your education glad to see you survived that rainy bike-ride back from camas in the dark - was just thinking i should check n' see if you arrived alive Twas actually a pleasant ride home; the Old Evergreen Highway's nice save for the holes littered about. Nice views and purrdy darn quiet. The 16' steel sign that leaning o'er 2O degrees, held like a giant ax ready to fall on you as you ride past, on the 205 crossing was the sketchiest shit of the day. Felt like a Mario Cart track for sure. As fer schoolin, I thought I'd be a lot to get caught up from missing Tuesday. I got most all that done today and have aaaaaaaaaall day tomorrow to size conductors and figure out out to program an arduino to run a relay board and make I-V curves for me. 12+ hours today and still going... :tightens noose: think geoff's coming w/ saturday - you got his number or email, reckon old boy can give you a ride. I'll hit him up. We should be there just in time to jug the lines 8D

  11. Big "stuff" has to happen on the nights like that . pat's donw this weekend, devushka - the forecast is so good might well ditch the big b for a party up at illumination and something on the w side the day after? Ledge slumber party:) count me in! See iffens I can find a ride from PDX and I'll be up there
  12. Leki is making them like that now as well. Won't even buy a screw lock pole again. I've wasted so much time fiddling with mine or waiting on someone else with theirs.
  13. there are tails for both the evo ascents and the lightnings. Highly recommend getting tails with the ascents-- They float alright in fresh snow with minimal gear, but you'll notice a rapid lose of floatation as you put on the weight of gear. If you have the dough, go with the lightnings; they'rrrrrrrre GREAT!
  14. Agreed. In particular look at the evo ascents. You'll want something with a climbing wire if you are going steep; or tape tennis balls under your heels... Found some good deals: http://www.ems.com/family/index.jsp?categoryId=3718184&sr=1&origkw=msr&emssrcid=PPC:Google:adwords_msr_snowshoe_reviews thats a good deal on the Lightning 30's, you'd be slaying shit with those.
  15. Thats what I wish to had the knowledge to say
  16. About eleven hours if you have to ask. Going light, should be done in less than eight. roughly...
  17. Start at Marble Mountain and it should have a good [boot] pack. Crampons and ice ax advisable. Skis for the win. Weather will probably suck. Start reading TRs from this, and other, sites.
  18. to sling the baskets on this over-burdened horse I'm sure we could talk about Jeremy Rufkin, eh? Viewing pleasure [video:youtube]j3-Vo1RooaM
  19. great points-wrong forum some sauce-age would help. (linkies as you call them here) Oh, and calling YOUR [Washingtonian] congress... type folk in order to talk to the intern so sweetly as to convince them that they should hand a note saying "what you like" is stuper fun. I think they [interns] might wet their panteeeeeeeez when this happens

  21. Thats some pretty good advice. Nothing beats getting out though
  22. Oh! And you can help me clean Red Dihedral and Jungle Safari out at Carver this summer. That should be fun
  23. Hey Kyle, I'm in Portland too. The Farside is decent this time of year. The maples are bear so it gets some sun. And there's even a bolted trad route or something like that... There's always the Circuit in the mean time.
  24. And just when I thought the sandbox was clear to tread in...
  25. I laughed for a second when I thought you were talking about the gorge Table Mtn. Slightly worried too, if you were bringing ropes up there. Did you leave a note at the bottom of the ropes? That has worked for me in the past when you do something silly like leave your ropes on on Cock Rock ... Good Luck
