  1. See This: http://www.nps.gov/mora/planyourvisit/climbing-reservation-faqs.htm You know, this is what google is for. I found it in a couple seconds of looking.
  2. You don't need one per se. But about 60% of the slots are reserved and the other 40% are first come, first serve.
  3. "someone forget water?" Nope. She's dunking her head.
  4. Trip: Index- - Godzilla, Sickle, Ect. Date: 3/4/2010 Trip Report: A sunny day, above freezing, and we had Index to ourselves. We couldn't believe it. I kept waiting for another car to roll into the parking lot. But it never happened. Ellen, Todd and I headed out to Index for a little climbing. We got there pretty early (before 9 am). I started out by leading Godzilla clean for the first time in a while. Definitely always a rewarding experience. Ellen had a good time doing it for the first time ever and Todd cruised it. We headed over to GNS and I soloed up to below the lizard undercling while Todd and Ellen came up the usual way. We then headed up that 5.7 crack to the top. We had to get back early so we got out of there pretty quickly after a compulsory head dunk in the river. Good times had by all. Approach Notes: Don't forget the apple juice.
  5. Chopped in 5 places? What routes are you climbing? I've had a rope get chopped on a sketchy descent off of Icicle buttress.
  6. I agree. Love me some Index.
  7. I don't see anything about only wanting older photos in the first post. Thanks for clarifying.
  8. Sorry about that drive time...
  9. Yes! Couldn't have said it better myself.
  10. Hey. For whatever reason your pictures didn't show up.
  11. K. Thanks for clarifying.
  12. Was it that there were no guns absolutely in the parks before? Like not even in cars?
  13. Might see you guys up there.
  14. Looks fun.
  15. It looks a little like the NE buttress of Chair but I know it isn't.
  16. I think your logic might fall on deaf ears.
  17. But if you think single wall is cool/worth the money, whatever, go for it.
  18. For a tent that you use backpacking only 20% of the time I'd say single wall is overkill. Save the cash for gear and beer. I use my old double wall Walrus for most backpacking/climbing excursions.
  19. Ya I saw that ice too but I didn't know if it was thick enough and didn't want to head over there without verification.
  20. Hey. I just got these boots used- they are in good condition. But I am wondering what you guys think- Intuition liner or stock for Denali? (I think I know what people are going to say-Intuiton- I'd just like to not pay 150$). I also have an overboot that I am bringing.
  21. That's cool. I am set for gear right now so it doesn't really impact me but anyone needing crampons should be happy.
