I need some help here, brain fart, but haven't we had some really big peaceful demonstrations here in the USA that have never changed a gosh darn thing. Anything more recent then: On June 12, 1982, one million people demonstrated in New York City's Central Park against nuclear weapons and for an end to the cold war arms race. It was the largest anti-nuclear protest and the largest political demonstration in American history.

Seems to be the current logic floating around. Just remember my fine fellow politicians we were voted into office by the fine citizens of this free country; therefore, we are duly entitled to behave as unethically and illegally as we want to, and to hold the citizens duly responsible for the legislation that we passed allowing the banks to conduct unregulated practices that caused the great depression II. The New York Times reported: "Representative Stephen Lynch, Democrat of Massachusetts, warned: 'You think regulation is costly? How about the $7trillion we just lost from not regulating the derivatives markets?'"

Well, seems to be some people on a beer budget still think sinking $ into their home is a good idea, even when they are not DIY. Seems like a losing bet, esp if your not a DIY person; however, I am usually wrong. sickie During the last depression my grandmother had nothing but somehow managed to get into real estate without borrowing from banks, had seven kids, ended up in foster care :: before the nursing home at 92. Anyway, uber rich people seem to buy things up when they hit rock bottom--still see more home 4 sale signs going up--IMO still has not hit bottom; latest oil thuggery will drive the border liners under pretty soon I reckon.

Recently I jumped on the 'go, go , go bandwagon encouraging a person that posted and said they were really excited to start climbing. I even offered that person some free gear, no it's not crap. Guess what? Still haven't heard from them seven days later. Does this sound bitter, or a case of you snooze you loose--I'm not going to give it to them now--sorry, I gave it away. It's funny when people get out once a year climbing or fishing or backpacking or whatever and still call it their hobby. Spray is cheap. Sure I had high ambitions this last year. Did I accomplish all of them--no, not even close. I did however get more mileage in than I ever have in any given single year to date. Do I expect people to pat me on the back--no, that's why I do it myself. Hee Haw

Justice Clarence Thompson--So Thomas went ahead and lied about how much time he spent at that retreat held by the infamous Koch Brothers, the sugar daddies of the supposedly power-to-the-people Tea Party movement. While according the The New York Times, "a court spokeswoman said Justice Thomas had made a ‘brief drop-by’ at the event in Palm Springs, California, in January 2008 and had given a talk," in that darn financial disclosure report that keeps getting him in trouble, Thomas reported that he was reimbursed by the right-wing Federalist Society for having spent "four days" at this very same event. sickie :kisss:

I know it is hard to tell with all the media snow white outs but WWW III has been up and running for sometime now--more conflicts going on then you can count on both hands.

Plan to eliminate the Fed. family planning program

totally bro, too late now though dad, done deal. I like that angle,'plan on getting pregnant' slogan. This would probably detour more prego's then 'safe sex' slogan; reverse osmosis psychology. -
I might have this wrong but didn't the feds give all/most of the tax payer's dams away? If so...nothing... new....again...this land is tax land, this land is not yours man, it belongs to the g-man, this land was stole-land, this land is not free-land, this land has spilled blood man, to keep you free man. After watching Aljazeera I realize how ignorant I really am about all the nasty boogie men in the world and the roles they play in keeping things stabilized. Supposedly some of the bad nasty dictators are the lesser of the two possible evils. good night.

Pope, your also forgot to blame the poor performance of the students on the teacher--it's not the parents fault they are failing; is it?

good choice, I'm slowly sinking

What is negotiated is not a fixed contract in time anymore; it is a constant variable being open to renegotiation at all times. Contracts today are like contractor's or mechanic's estimates; they are not fixed and do not cover the unforeseen problems such as dry rot or formerly striped threads or predatory lending leading to the Great Depression II. Is 'who's fault is it' really the pertinent question to be asking? Maybe it is if laws were broken. All investments have risks; read the fine print. The employee that trusts the hired investment firm with their $ is taking a risk. Now those investments are gone--poof, kaput, nada. The employees options are limited: suck it up, prosecute, find another job. Is loan sharking illegal? Not if your a bank-wha, wha

Plan to eliminate the Fed. family planning program
Lucky Larry replied to tvashtarkatena's topic in Spray
sure i think family planning is a good idea; however, it's ironic that I, my daughter, my grand kids would not be here for the fact none of it was planned. I blame my dad twice: once for me, once for not training me to suit up or pull out--hee haw PS I didn't train my daughter either; at 32 i thought she already knew; but then again she only listens to her husband anyway..wah wah -
shit bro, I thought the multi-nationals had already been there done that

sorry bro but 2 months is two little, more like-sorry-two years.. sounds like you have made a very common mistake of getting on it too soon, too many times. i know this sounds lame--tincture of time.

I have had a few people tell me that you are never suppose to knot or hitch skinny sewn slings, that they can cut themselves through when loaded. :: Yet I see tons of climbers, really good climbers, doing this. What's the skinny on the skinnies?

That is sad news JayB; however, I disagree in some respects. I feel the shittiest jobs should be paid more; eg. Care givers, garbage collectors, farm workers should get paid more than politicians and bankers. Why? Because it really is more work: mass, time, distance. Cops should be paid more because they deal with some real nasty people. Fireman, I'm prejudiced, should only be paid while they are actually working, say $35 /hour, no benefits. In fact, level the whole field--no benefits for anyone; hence, no jealousy. People would then be motivated by their passion of work, not dollars, hence, the best people for the position. It's all fucked up anyway. Machines replace people, don't need as many people, surplus of useless people, useless paper pushing busy work jobs, stupid standards of living eg more cars, horses, boats, rv's, electronic crap--where does it end? Well, your just raining on my parade. No, I really don't care anymore(more lies) because there isn't a solution to the pollution. Best wishes.

gee no wonder I don't get laid anymore. once upon a time I was getting it on with this hot babe, and she then told me she had a boyfriend in s. america. heres how dense i am--so i thought she was saying it wasn't going to work out when in reality it was code for: we can still have sex but i have a boyfriend. So i did not try to get anymore of that. two days later she was w/another guy--do'h.

For all the billions we dump on Israel why don't we take that same money and buy them off to relocate. To someplace where they might actually get along with their neighbors. A neighborhood where their kids can have some fun without guns. Is this too much to ask for? Who ever came up with the idea to relocate them there certainly wasn't thinking in their best interest. sickie The United States has provided total economic and military funding to Israel of over $100bn since 1962 under the Foreign Assistance Act,[254] more than any other country,[

Wow Pope, I had it wrong. I thought they had stacks of over qualified teachers looking for work. I predict most of the public sector jobs, like the meter readers and teachers, will be outsourced to private companies that will do it for less because they have hungrier slaves working for them. However, i have been told by a public employee that the public bottom line is still smaller then the private bottom line. Reason, private co. like to make a fat profit. Hence, no privatization in some areas yet. Here's what Stalin did. wikipedia Researcher Robert Conquest, meanwhile, has revised his original estimate of up to 30 million victims down to 20 million.[109] In his most recent edition of The Great Terror (2007), Conquest states that while exact numbers may never be known with complete certainty, the various terror campaigns launched by the Soviet government claimed no fewer than 15 million lives.[110] Others maintain that their earlier higher victim total estimates are correct.[111][112]

I think budgets should have some resemblance to reality. Obviously, like over the counter derivatives, it does not. Therefore 'balanced budget' is a axe-me-moron. Print more worthless paper?
