where in the H do I post for partners on the site? from the grouch, the lash, and the dreamer. In need of hardmen/women to lead alpine routes for wannabe old larry ps windsurfer is great to aid in the rain; only got wet on last 8 feet of it and of course all my dry clothing that i saved in the haulbag to put on was all wet. Trip: Mt. Hood - South Side Date: 11/18/2008 Trip Report: Well, I made it to the schund before a headache, bad gas(a can o'pork and beans earlier that day)and vertigo while in a momentary white out shut me down. Plus, I should have pulled out the tools before heading up around crater rock. I had a momentary freakout in a passing white out that gave me vertigo with only my treking poles in hand. Trust me; there was no casual cow trail that has always been there in the past for me to hike up. This was the first time I have tried it this time of year and it was awesome. Perfect neve with a few patches of ice. The best cramponing I have ever done. In spite of not making the summit it was still great. My apoligise to the two gus from Seattle. If the sun had come out while you guys where still up there it could have got really ugly and I did not want that on my conscience. P.S. Ivan your right; it is always more fun with two tools and I will always recommend it to everyone else too.

It was a great cause and a lot of fun to see sooo many warm friendly people I haven't seen in a while. I'm the old guy with the green stripe shirt, squinty eyes and long hair standing with Jennifer. Thanks for all the greetings everyone and best wishes.

Trip: Mt. Baker - standard south side railroad grade Date: 9/11/2008 Trip Report: I was solo, again, and it has been awhile since I have been on something with real big cravasses (sp?) on it. Camped at 6500' for 3 nites. Made it to 9600' before I got spooked, choked, did not feel it, hips/ back concerns and bailed. At 8200' took a very big dump and then down to camp and brewed up. Of course, I felt shitty for leaving that big ol' crap up there and went back up to clean up all that pooh. Talked to this other guy that soloed it later that day and he said the place I got spooked wasn't that bad; he just went between the ice and rock. Anyway, I just want to say to you dudes that bagging a peak may be real important to you but please take bags to bag all your Pooh Too. Even pack it out if you are below timberline in suspect areas. Also met this guy who was a double leg amputee who climbed the mtn with his buddy-thanks for the reality check and best wishes to you.
