a few years ago krazy Kenny and I just drove further up the road for free camping sans pit toilet and developed sites: is it still possible to do that?

anybody got place to rent up there cheep?

a while ago, approx 10 yrs(?), at skull hollow cg, a little ways from smith rock, during some busy holiday this dude jumps out of his camper, walks up to juniper tree and unloads all his rounds into it then jumps back into his camper. There were people all over the place. It really pissed me off but I wasn't about to knock on his camper door.

Just curious about the reliability of these weather sites regarding temp. histories and current reported temperatures at different elevations. After reading the TR report on Mt. Hood temp. at the Hogsback there seems to be a huge discrepancy; specifically, the temperature inversion. Am I making any sense here or FOS.

I use to work in outdoor retail and I will swear by this statement:Boot sizes do not run true for a given size/brand/style; there are differences between boots of the same given size. I rest my boot. Good luck.

Be on guard; even when you think your partner knows something they may space it out eg I did a rap that barely reached the ground; my partner had also done it before and was swinging out at the base over our heads- I just thought he was messing around- the second time he swung out he popped off the rope about 12-14 ft off the deck, hit the deck between big boulders on his back. Busted his wrist-very fortunate no head/spine injury. I could'a, should'a, would'a, and he could'a...... And yes, we had been smoking the ganja. I don't loose any sleep over it but i think he still blames me.

I have had more than my share of problems with boots-darn feet. I suggest getting out there and use them but take a back up pair(whatever) that you know work for you. Hike really steep rocky trail/off trail if your not close to other stuff-then decide if they are too small. I have had to switch out more than once to the known good pair before the new ones worked out. I have also stuffed them with soft balls, shoe irons, soaked with rubbing alcohol/water, even used heat(very carefully), beat them, etc. Shoe shops would not touch them; I'm guessing because if they ruined them somehow the customer would hold them liable. Good luck.

By now everyone Knows it's a good thing to have, esp climbers, but I do not. Is there a good(oxymoron)net medical plan with a high deductible and low premium out there-anyone?

I looked up conservative: keeping the status quo. Meaning-the parties in office may change but those who hold the thunder stick will never change. Power corrupts, absolute power owns congress. Every Prophet there ever was that preached love, kindness and charity to one another has been run out'a town.
