Heaven and Hell always made me curious. I mean folks who believe in heaven and hell must believe in parallel universes or alternate dimensions right? Unless you mean to say that these places are actual destinations that would be visitable somewhere out in space?

I have to agree on The Jonas Brothers, I vomited into my mouth a little bit when they produced that absolute tripe during the Thanksgiving Halftime show. Are 10yr old girls really the NFL's fanbase?

HA, HA yeah after digging out John's book I was too lazy to dig out my Bedford Guide for citations.

I will be out of school starting dec 5. until the first week of Jan and usually only work saturday and sunday. I'm looking for a weekday partner for just about anything, winter scrambles, rock, ice, snowshoeing. I have yet to climb any ice but I have a set of tools, crampons, a rope and a hearty ambition to get on some. I'm also looking for some intermediate skiing partners to advance with. I ride double black on my snowboard but really want to pick up skiing again (haven't put on skis in about 10 years) so that I can eventually move into alpine touring without having to resort to a splitboard. Shoot me a PM and we can discuss options.

Sort of unrelated but here's what I read in John Long's book. "If your using a cordelette to connect the anchor pieces, another potential backup point is the "shelf" of the cordelette, which is the point right above the power point. This "shelf" also offers an alternative clip-in spot for whoever is leading the next pitch in a group of three or more. The practice results in one less tie-in at the power point, thereby opening it up for others to clip in, and it allows the leader to quickly unclip and take off on the next pitch." (Climbing Anchors p. 144)

Hurray, rope retrieved! If you must know it was stuck at the anchor... on the knot in the end my partner and I forgot to untie before pulling. If there is any certain way to learn a lesson it's the hard way.

I got my rope stuck in Index today on Princely Ambitions. It was getting dark as we were rapping off and quickly became to dark to climb back up and get it. I'm going back to retrieve it tomorrow after I get out of class so if you happen to free it or see it hanging there please pile it neatly out of the way or let it hang I'd be forever in your debt.

Anyone want to get out today or tomorrow? Anywhere will do, I'm free after 11am both days, just really want to get off the ground.
