  1. I have used a 6mm with a 9 something lead line in the past. I was not a fan. The 6mm tangled/twisted really easily, fed faster so you had to always pull from that side… Basically, all of the negatives that people have already said… And just looking at how thin it looks in the middle of a long rappel does not give a lot reassurance. Just my opinion…
  2. Nice. I climbed the NF of Chair a couple of winter ago at night. It was under a full moon... it was cool (pun intended). I was not training for GIV though...

  9. Just go to REI and try on about four sizes... I am sure you could slip one size into the other box...... This will only work if the box store has the type you want....

  15. The first time I climbed the north ridge it was July 2nd and there as ton of snow on the ridge. The slab pitch was completely covered... Much drier year.... Looked like a good climb... and fast...
  16. I climbed it in July one year and had two tools which was nice. But then again, I suck at the French thing...... very cool climb.... should go back some day...
  17. Given the size you have given and some density that I found online for rhyolite, the approx weight of the flake is over 7000 lbs... In one word, scary esp for a belayer....
