  1. Nice John. Hopefully I can tag along to another trip East this winter. Or early season NF of Hood?
  2. I don't think Enumclaw will ever live that down. I know it's the only thing Kevino thinks about when he drives through there. I like'em nice and furry and horns to grab a hold of. 8D
  3. No, White Pass had a problem with people skiing and getting lost out of bounds. Very different to what this bill is addressing.
  4. Nice. Any pictures of the chute's current condition? I work for the next 8 days but would like to get out there next week.
  5. Very nice. I love that area. If you wait until sept time you won't have any bugs.
  6. My most current guess based on the weather and my last trip up there a week or two ago...snow across the source lake lookout. clear up to great scott bowl, which will be mostly covered in snow. There was bergschrund that required stepping onto the ledges about 10 ft away from the actual pass itself because the actual pineapple pass had a snow bridge that was overhanging and thin. Hopefully that paints a good picture for you.
  7. I was when I attended school there. Graduated in '09. I'll send you a pm
  8. Dave I'm not sure you have enough stickers on your helmet. I signed up for 48 hours of OT, see you at work!
  9. Thanks again Jon(and everyone else behind the scenes) for doing this. Very cool to see such an assortment of great photos. With that being said, I am officially boycotting ski/snowboard section since my photo wasn't nominated but a picture of a whiteout was.
  10. You running for the school?
  11. Still skiing in places in the alpental valley. But then again I live there so its worthwhile to me! I'll third the suggestion of pictures from MT.
  12. Only if you include some of that grease and dirt off of your hands.
  13. This guy does, so he posted in the climbing partner section.
  14. minx, sorry i've been slacking on my social stocking, i mean networking. but you should be more flexible with your insomnia!
  15. buuuuuuuuuump this up. back at work. let the fun begin!
  16. Thanks iluka, that is what I assumed as I alluded to, but didn't know for sure. While this is an interesting subject, I doubt there will ever be any money for a research project about high altitude climbers on blood thinners.
  17. Here is a shot I stole from John's TR from 8 mile mtn. 03/08
  18. Not to correct you but I'm pretty sure that slope you are referring to would be considered the west face... So this was taken 01/09 from the stuart lake trail This was taken 02/08 looking down the face at my friend climbing, look generally west back down to mountaineers creek
  19. from the pct i could see continuous snow from the end of the commonwealth basin up to the col at the base of lundin's east ridge. there was lots of snow between lundin and snoqualmie. red has little to no snow. I didn't get up to the kendal catwalk today due to rain and thunder in the distance.
  20. On my run two days ago I hit consistent snow around the third or fourth switchback on my way to snow lake, which was still completely covered in snow. Last week I hit consistent snow on the trail to kendal lakes around 4k before I even got to the lakes Red mtn has almost no snow, as seen from alpental rd snoqualmie mth only has snow visible near the summit. I was planning on going for a run up the pct north this evening so i'll let you know about lundin then
  21. Was it the tractor beam that pulled you into this thread? Perhaps this can explain mr. 5k's inability to get coffee
  22. Spotly, that's some serious stuff - glad to hear you're recovering well. Those carotids can be a fairly common source for throwing clots. Like I said before and as climbingpanther agreed with, I doubt the coumadin will affect your performance at altitude. I think getting back in shape after your injury and maintaining fitness while on coumadin will be your biggest challenges. Jordan, if I understand your hypothesis correctly you are saying that the INR would decrease due the relative rise of RBC? That assumes the INR values take into consideration the levels of RBCs, which I'm not familiar enough with to know. Sounds like you should do more research and let us know! haha
  23. I don't think your mk19 can blow up the death star. Just saying... Funny you mention that weapon though, my buddy over in Kuwait trains soldiers to fire that gun, amongst others. What service are you in?
  24. I just blew up your paper mache death star with my proton torpedos...bitch
  25. To answer your main question, warfarin works but inhibiting clotting agents, so I don't believe there is a direct corralation between that and endurance reduction but I'll do some research and see what I can find out. article #1 2 british doc's
