  1. totally understand. check geartrade.com. backcountry.com uses it for their returned items, if your size pops up you could find a good deal on boots, skis and even bindings.
  2. Pat, Check out voile for some light and fat skis. The new bd justice has gotten some good reviews. If you got some extra coin check out pmgear.com or dps. Dave, I drank the kool-aid of dynafit starting last spring and its totally worth it. But if its an absolute no go then...don't go marker. salomon is releasing a new binding this season. i used fritcschi for three seasons and never ahd an issue for what its worth.

Nope, but I am the only one getting paid to be online at this hour.
  5. I remember that. Paul, any chance running gear death wall has this similar problem? Such a fun climb when its in, but that was four or so years ago.
  6. Yeah, we vaguely remembered a TR on this area a while ago. Was that yours? Probably, I posted it in the WA Ice thread a few years back. Turns out it was Feb of 2009...
  7. Nice John. Your second pictures looks almost identical to one I climbed about 4 years ago. Lots of ice up there for sure.
  8. Nice work. Was that you guys walking down by the sahalee ski club around 0800? I passed a group of climbers driving home from work this morning.

  11. I have some pictures from afar from wednesday. I'll try to get them online by tomorrow. More or less looking pretty plastered white from the several storms we've had over the last week.
  12. Someone should go climb abiel peak. there is some fat looking ice currently
  13. Alex, Some are from there, some are from guye peak. Nothing is anticlimatic when its 1-2 ft of untracked powder. 5 new this morning, should be nice again. Sobo, You taught me never to turn down free drinks...
  14. Dane - its only better now! Hope all is well... Despite 49 hours after the last storm there are still lots of untracked pow to be found... Happy new years all!!!!

  20. Here is what i was talking about: http://cascadeclimbers.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=865079 Either way, nice work getting out. With the inversion going on I bet snow lake will be much more prime for ice than the source lake area.
  21. Pat wrote a TR about a line in this area, I'll see if I can find it.

  24. Colin, I've been using the mammut 8.9 for a while and have had no problems.
  25. counterfeit - these are all located above the rap wall, or at least at its same elevation. Alex - I'm glad you saw that too. It caught my eye this morning, there almost looks to be a potential line forming up between the two. Mercyful - look forward to your TR.
