  1. Zero tool tolerance.
  2. Shit, I'd be really happy just getting paid on time.
  3. Particulates help counteract global warming, duh.
  4. OK, the crack ho kiddies are really cryin now....
  5. Plus, we car pool, and have a really, really good time, every time, doing it. But not with you. Ever. Sorry, but we observe a strict 'no tool' policy.
  6. ...if society doesn't want to suffer yet another random shooting incident, at least in my case. It's all a choice.
  7. Didn't think the chic protested that much. A wee bit of anger's a pretty standard response to injury.
  8. OK cuntz, i gotta go earn some dough selling crack to children...tax free.
  9. I would love to hear that quote on the floor of the state legislature...LOL
  10. Dude, he works for MSFT. It doesn't get TOO much better than that.
  11. For a bus driver: Don't be high. For a cop: Don't bust me when I'm high... ...unless I'm driving a bus, of course.
  12. Given the complexity of the issues and the recent track record of our bonehead legislators, I'm not optimistic. It should be noted that the primary opponent to drug legalization and reductions in the criminal justice system is...ding ding ding: the 'fiscally conservative' GOP In addition, that very same group of morons blames teachers rather than the multi layered legion of more highly paid 'administrators' that feed from the same, limited budget pie. So, no, I'm not 'siding with conservatives', at least not by any contemporary definition of the word, I'm opposing their fucked up ideas, here.
  13. Again, when the state does the right thing, then we'll talk. Until then, FU.
  14. On the wealthy the 1st year...and the rest of us the next once that ice is broken.
  15. I've also been fiscally conservative from day fucking one, most notably in my advocacy of cutting the shit out of our fantastically bloated military and cautioning against the invasion of Iraq...two options which most of the conservitards here STRONGLY dissagreed with BTW. That lack of consistency between word and deed is nothing new to that crowd, of course.
  16. The principle's pretty simple here. Raise taxes and the state will continue to avoid the more politically difficult reforms it has needed to make for a long, long time. The cutting of services rather than attacking the root cause of the shortfall in the first palce is a standard, punish the taxpayer tactic. You may buy it, I don't.
  17. They sure manage to pull a lot of overtime when they're showing off their fully automatic weapons, shotguns, and armored vehicles during a peaceful protest, though.
  18. WA's deficit presents an historical and badly needed opportunity to change course. So far, no good.
  19. spoken like a person who's never had fiduciary responsibility for managing a budget of any size in his entire life.
  20. Popular wisdom...the ANTI science!
  21. When this state a) legalizes drugs b) cuts back its criminal justice system accordingly c) fires half of the non-teaching clingons who've parasitically attached themselves to our school system, most noticeably the top heaviest layers of administration and d) waits until we're clear of this recession Then I might consider voting for a tax increase. Levy an income tax on the rich and, I'll guarantee you, it will be extended to everyone in short order.
  22. Oh, but we'll need to beef up our treatment centers a bit to cater to all those addicts who CAN'T SEEM TO TAKE ANY PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY...at about a 10th of the cost we're paying now for poorer results. Thanks, conservatards! We'll call ya next time we need to inflate a minor problem into a gargantuan one!
  23. Seems like every time there's a stumbling drunk on the side of the road there are 3 patrol cars on the scene. Cut the force back a bit? It's about time. Legalize drugs, like we should have done a long time ago, and you can cut the bloated criminal justice system in half.
  24. I know a mountain guide who's had the surgery. He still climbs. You're right, docs have no idea what they're talking about in this area. If anything, climbing probably helps extend the life of the joint by strengthening and stabilizing the surrounding muscles and keeping the ligaments from tightening up due to lack of use.
  25. Regarding addiction, yes. Regarding the ridiculous amount of effort some of you folks go through to research and document who posted what, that would be a definite no.
