ok, just throwing this out there, but does anyone know anything about climbing in kenya and tanzania? i am going there for about four months, don't know if it will be worth it to bring my gear. though, the hike up mt. kili is planned for may, though i though other fun climbs might be squeezed in. any thoughts

That all is grand, and i am up on the sling and power point thing, i hav ejust not heard of two opposing draws for toprope so i was wondering if others do that. i feel much more comfortable managing it with some lockers, just a beginner thing i guess. Thanks.

i just got the new mountaingear cataloge and saw that i could buy all the shit i want to bolt everthing anywahere, and i though "wtf they shouldn't just sell this to everyone. people don't understand the ethics behind most of this, including me, and i would never think about putting bolts up without serious consideration to others" sorry that happened, if you can afford bolt equipment, buy some cams instead.

quick question a bit off topic if you guys don't mind, i am just not finding the thread i think this should go in. so people are saying they would set up a 2 opposed quick draw top rope anchor on a sport routes to allow other people to top rope up the route. i haven't done this yet so don't worry, but would you use this kind of anchor on a multi pitch sport route? i would want the lockers on my own sling, but i was just curious. sorry for the hijack.

w/o getting into the argument of who's fault it is... it is still fair to question past (at least recent past) presidents that certainly had a hand in shaping the current president's situation. focusing ONLY on bush is just as much of a distraction if clinton also has some fault. question both sides, man i certainly agree with questioning both sides. however in this case the hype hardly had anything to do with a potential solution! that is what we need, a potential solution and that is what americans need to focus on, not just, "well, why didn't you have osama assinated bill? that would sure have made our lives easier in afganistan" isn't the big issue now iraq? not to down play other international situations but, maybe looking at bill's report to the incoming admin about the situation in iraq would have been a better topic of discussion if you wanted to "fairly question the recent past" as you would say. i just hope we could question the things that are relevant and matter. criticize bill all you want, (espeially that he couldn't get a hotter intern than monica )
