  1. Nice shots Feck!
  2. The hard part is pulling it out, though. POP!
  3. Sometimes I put my head in the buthole.
  4. If it wasn't before, is now...
  5. Cause the grass is always greener on the other side, duh...
  6. I saw a guy on it two weeks ago on a Sunday. You must have missed it. Was it Fargo? I think he could have sent it last year if only he had a better belayer...
  7. I just hope I can get that night off from work... ...
  8. What a cute mutt... Good luck finding a good home. I'd take him, but we have a few too many pets already.
  9. wouldn'tnve been suprised if it had happened this trip... [video:youtube] "Fugging-nuk-ik-stan"
  10. No, but just the opposite... The our expedition tent was flat as a pancake, the fabric pressed to us with hurricane force. I thought it might fly away with us in it but it mostly squashed us to the ground/ice...
  11. Well said! Sounds like the chicken head pitch on Orbit, but with a delectable crack and heavenly position to boot. I gotta get on that one. Cheers!
  12. Nice, we may have passed you at the base on our way down from Orbit that day. Nice fall weather in L Town, even though our hopes of the CNR on Stuart were shut down by wet & snowy conditions...
  13. Enough with the elitism. Statistically speaking people who climb harder routes are more likely to have accidents. The Cassin sees an average of 20 climbers a year - and for the past 3 years there have been accidents on the route. A Belgium climber died on it this past June, last June two climbers were rescued and in 2008 Yamada and Inoue disappeared on the route. The whole argument against fees is that they unfairly target climbers. Advocating that some climbers pay and others don't is ridiculous. Good point...
  14. This is a great idea but would seem hard to police... All of the sudden, everyone is "doing" those routes without the $1,000 fee. Who is going to police once the team(s) leave Talkeetna?
  15. I found some gear at Beacon Rock on Monday, September 6th. Tell me what it was & where it was left and I will get it back to you. Otherwise, I think it's BOOTY!
  16. It only took us 5 days to drag our sleds from sea level-ish (Wonder Lake) to the Muldrow. Course, they were only 250lbs each, so were were lucky enough to go "light and fast"...
  17. Thanks Jon... I went through and cleaned out a lot of crap pics a few months back but I did get all of the junk yet out of storage. I tried to load a few more pics today but got snaffled again. That was on my laptop, now I will try on my pc. Thanks for all your work keeping the spray flowing! I was able to load a couple more pics from my pc.
  18. I'm up for am on Mon, Wed & Fridays. I usually work at 3 in Hood River so I only have a few hours after getting the kidos off to school around 8 am. Let me know if you want to meet up there. Dave

  20. Just wondering if anyone was on the CNR last weekend, Fri & Sat (9/10-9/11)? We were hoping for a shot at it but were greeted by showers upon arriving at the trail head at 1 am Fri morning. We hiked up to Lake Ingals only to find it very wet, socked in and enough snow on the upper slopes of the few peaks we could see. Were the real hardmen still sending that day? This is what it looked like for us... The brief teaser window of hope. Marmot. At least we were able to do Orbit the next day as a consolation prize...
  21. Not sure what you guys did, but I was finally able to upload some photos. Thanks!
  22. New route? Which one? New, in the sense it has been brought back from the dead... More/less.
