I vote for Mountainair, New Mexico. Oh wait, no bar, pub or even a gas station that sells 40's we can swill out of a brown bag on the corner under the streetlamp. Carry on. There's nothing to read here...

Got run over by a snowmobile while skinning!!!!!

Yes, I'm sure my company would be able to cover it. However, then it would be a "recordable" incident and that is kind of a big deal in my industry. Even though I was not at fault whatsoever. Being the nice guy I am, I'm reluctant to pursue the matter as I'm not sure there is much to be done about the back pain anyway. I'm still on the fence with the issue as the pain seems to be nagging at me a bit more the past few days. I'm not too happy with the company I work for and have already accepted another gig doing the same thing with a better company. Still, I don't want to cause a fuss unnecessarily. -

I can relate... I got rear ended a few weeks (while taking the company truck in for repair estimates on a collision before my arrival.)... I refused medical attention but told them my back hurt and felt the impact. It's been about three weeks and it seems to be getting worse. The car that hit me is uninsured so I'm hesitate to press the issue. The owner of the vehicle kind of pissed me off when I called inquiring about her insurance and she started getting all pissy and accusatory of me ... "The truck was fine when you drove it away... Now your back hurts"... So much for being nice and not trying to take advantage of the situation. Still not sure if I should press the issue or not? It's not that bad now, but who knows if it will be worse later... Do what you need to do do cover your ass when you get hit like you did. -
I miss having a steady supply of Bacon in my diet. Gonna try to make Jimmy's 70th, but hard to tell if I can make it home then.

The scope gets broader w age... Cougars are cool! If you are in your 40s, she has to be around 65 to qualify as a cougar. It's like shooting fish in a barrel at the geriatric ward.

I'm working out of Mointainair, NM, pretty much smack dab middle of NM. Yes, cool state, I just wish I could explore the mountain areas . I did visit a friend in Madrid... A really cool, artsy, hippie mountain town. As far as working nights, we have been shut down for weeks on end so pressure is coming from the powers that be to come in whenever the wind forecast is down, which has been in the wee hours of the night. Pretty stupid and it has still been too windy, for the most part. Off again all day today and just found out no work till Monday. Fine bye me as I still get paid and perdiem. Might go to Taos. Woot! They are usually monitored 24/7 remotely with techs on call for big outrages. Management is always concerned about % availability. We are here doing gearbox exchanges so it's pretty expensive to have the crane and crew sitting around for weeks on end. It can cost upwards of $250,000 a day for the crane & crew...

IVAN Psyche. Peter Croft! Da Man, Alex Honnold sure gets it done, too. He's setting a mark that's gonna be hard to top. But he's far too young to fall into "my hero" category. Heroes can only be inspired in your youth. For me, anyway... After youthful delusions of grandeur, everyone is is just human.

This is on top of a Vestas V90 nacelle... The hoops contain anemometers (wind meters) and are probably 2' in diameter. The nacelle roof is, I'd guess, about 10' wide x 15' long. 100 meters up. The yellow rings are tie off anchors and spaced about 5' apart. I got a great shot for "Extreme Ironing" the day before we left the site... I covertly hauled an ironing board and iron all the way up the latter, then set it up on top... Newer turbines are required to have climb assists (counter weights) or elevators, which are nice.

I turn 60 later this year, with a little luck. My wife and I recently discovered the medicinal benefits of tart cherry juice. When I went to the store to score some, the young woman I asked about it said "do you have gout?". We take it for a touch of arthritis. It also helps us sleep through the night... You should try it for the gout Dave. d Yes, I've been pounding the stuff when I can get it... I'm working in a very remote area now but stock up at Trader Joes when I get to town. I broke down and got some Rx stuff too. Not sure what to credit, but the regime is working. Thanks for the tip though.

Now that I'm old and feeble and your Cross Fit studly, you'd prolly crush me if we squared off again. Just say'n, young gun...

Can you please repost in a larger font, some of us elderly can't read it in that size...

I'm 44 and that was the year I realized I will never be as strong as I once was. Still pretty "fit" compared to most my age but nothing like the good ole days. But, older is better than alternative. Most days anyway. Now I'm dealing with gout, which really sucks when it flares up. No beer for me.

OK, since I'm so bored out here in the middle of now where, New Mexico, I'll update my Wind TR... Mostly phone shots so sorry the quality is not there on quite a few... Clipper Site, Palm Springs, CA 2014 New Mexico, 2014 Dayton WA 2012/13 I've "Exceeded my limit of photos per day" but that's a few.
