    DC = deer killer

    Am I the only person here on Facebook? Scratch the word "kill" above and substitute anything anybody just did that they enjoyed...scratch yer ass, walk the dog, go to the store, etc etc etc. Check it out, called "Facebook". You'll be shocked. Pretty common thing it appears as Jayb says upthread. Ya can't make stuff like this up:-) Try to look at it this way... If you bagged the other kind of "cougar", you'd certainly want a trophy photo for the records, right? This is same, same, like BillCoe says. I wish I had a dime for every time someone on this sight said "it didn't happen if you ain't got pics..."
  5. Suck it up and pay the man!
  6. I adopted a gluten free/modified paleo diet about 4 months ago. In the past when trying various diet disciplines, I've usually burned out after going cold turkey for as many days/weeks/months as possible. This time, however, I decided to "ease" into the plan... I weened my sugar intake over a week or so and now I allow myself to "cheat" as needed. I think this makes a big difference psychologically as not I'm telling myself I CAN'T have this or that. After a few weeks of mostly juicing and lots of protein, I find I am not nearly as hungry as I used to be. When I do eat sugary foods, they seem so much more sugary than before starting this diet. I eat a lot of smaller meals and am having excellent results. I have all but eliminated my psoriasis, which I have been battling for over 20 years. I'd much rather modify my diet than continue on highly toxic drugs designed to suppress the immune system. Side note - For the past 20 years I have seen numerous dermatologists for psoriasis. When I would ask them if diet was a factor, they would always insists that diet has no bearing on this condition. In fact, I began to notice that the docs would usually get defensive and unwilling to consider anything but expensive and toxic drugs. Obviously, that approach is a lot more profitable than putting a patient on the proper diet that will allow ones body to heal itself. It just makes me pretty angry that I could have solved this problem 20 years ago if the "system" was not so profit motivated and biased... Don't beat yourself up if you fall off the wagon. Give yourself a treat but only when you really need it. Good luck.
  7. I'm spesho Beatard.
  8. Condolences to all who knew and loved him.
  9. I just heard on the radio there was a fall on the N. side of Hood today. All the stated was the climber fell about 1,000' on the north side. Anyone know what's going on? Koin 6 linky
  10. Douchebags are like routes, they come in all shapes, sizes, textures & conjectures ... And yes, it certainly does take one to know one.
  11. Wow, me too. I felt really bad, like I just ran over a kitty, or so much worse, maybe even a puppy. That sick feeling in the pit of my stomach that I had when I knew I was in trouble as a kid. Probably the same feeling that triggered my insecure need for attention. Which also seems to be the same accelerate to drive me to climb harder and not only look down on lesser climbers, but completely disregard them in my selfish pursuit of higher glory. This totally reminds me of the time I made that really bad joke in front of a lot of uber "uncool" old folks at the nursing home. I just kinda shrunk in my chair like Fred Flintstone shrinking in that one episode where it goes "ere, ere, ere (pronounced ear'n) every time he shrinks/gets smaller in his chair... I fully thought this thread was all about ME and I should make a formal apology. Right up to the point when I realized it was someone climbing 5.11. Sheesh, if I saw a 5.11 climber, I'd bow down, scrub her chalk bag, and hope she throws me the sweaty warm-up hoody.
  12. Sounds about right...
  13. I wonder what the Dawg thinks about Honnold's latest solo blitz? Does he admire the super human skills and mental fortitude displayed by Honnold's bold climbs? Or, does he find him just another modern day wanker destroying the wilderness? Inquiring minds want to know and so do I.
  14. Fixed it fer ya.
  15. I think learning any sport/skill at such an early age is going to be a benefit to anyone in virtually any endeavor. That said, being 12 and sick strong is AID!
  16. Pinky always gets racked with my nuts. Love the Pinky!
  17. Yep. I concur! They have always done me right and then some...
  18. I've apparently found out the downside of too much protein. What felt/feels like a broken toe, turns out to be gout and one of the culprits is too much protein. Hurts like hell but comes and goes at random. Any good suggestion for home remedies beside more water & less protein?
  19. I've got an older, well loved XGK you can have for $20.
