That's what I wanted for Christmas.

Chap Dass! That one's sure to be a classic. Thanks for contributing folks! Nice to start the day with a good laugh.

Thanks Trek!

Thanks, Steve! At this point, three of the people I was supposed to meet there have come down with the Christmas crud so it's not looking good. If I decide to go alone, I'll PM you by tomorrow night to let you know to look for me, and you can let me know if you'll still be there. Stay well!

Anyone planning to hit the gym Saturday afternoon? I'm probably going to be there between 2pm and 6pm belaying a friend who's climbing for the first time(recruiting! ); I thought I'd have another partner joining us so we could rotate climbs/belays, but he hasn't confirmed yet so if anyone's interested in either joining us or swapping belays with me so I can get in a little climbing too, I'd be grateful. I can post an update tomorrow or soon I as get the scoop from the missing third... Thanks! Sherri

I gave my mother two dozen homemade hi-fiber muffins. Easy come, easy go!

The info on this site might help. http://www.tpmassageball.com/footinjuries.php?sym=8 Makes a good case for treating the source of foot trouble--by relieving trigger points in the calves, which work so hard when we climb or run--so that the feeties stay happy. Even if you don't want to buy the aids they sell for this, you can get pretty comparable results by using your thumb, a hobnobber or a tennis ball on the soleus. It hurts so good. Good luck!

Yeah, I know. But I'm stickin' with my spork.

I got a REVERSO! And a spork.

Nice job on the porn! (Don't tell my mom I looked, though! She still thinks I'm a good girl. ) Welcome aboard!

Carolyn, yes you can rent it, but I come with it. It's extra for that. Now that's money well spent! Awesome workmanship, Erik! I was looking for a teardop trailer for my little rig...never thought of converting the rig itself. Way to work it!

Keep in mind that the pain showing up in the fingers could be orginating from a problem elsewhere in the arm, or even from the shoulder. You may find some helpful info here http://www.findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_qa3841/is_200207/ai_n9134304 or try Googling "Trigger Point Therapy". Personally, I've found the Trigger Point Therapy Workbook to be an invaluable training tool (for treating owies from all my "bad habits"--running, biking, climbing, etc.) and would recommend it to any athlete, of any age. Good luck!

Way to call it, Toast! I'm glad I'm not the only one who didn't know what an acolyte was. Dictionary wasn't much help("a liturgical assistant"?? ), so I assumed it implied partner of some kind? Sheesh. Now I feel all obtuse.

those are called women fixed it Well done!

Thanks for the helpful info, Jens! Good to know!

Best wishes for a speedy recovery, Jennifer. Sorry to hear about the accident. That's a painful souvenir for 5 feet of air-time! I was at Smith over the weekend, too, but seemed to be spared all the trauma drama that CBS witnessed. Admittedly, I did drop a quickdraw from the second pitch of Cinnamon Slab that day--thankfully it hit dirt instead of somebody's noggin. I didn't drop any girls, though.

Great pics! Happy Birthday, too!
