  1. Oops! Ya it is at the end of the 14th pitch...a little bit of exposed 4th class. We continued up and did Crest Jewel on North Dome after Royal Arches.
  2. It is a pretty easy traverse even without fixed gear. Give yourself plenty of time to do the route in case you get stuck behind other parties...or if you are not a fairly fast team. You can rap down with 2 60m ropes. The rap route is a ways over to the left as you finish the route.
  3. Have fun it is going to get very warm in the next few days........
  4. It is probably a load of jing.
  5. Thanks. I have read Sky Sjue's article. I picked up soem 174 skis and Fritsche free ride bindings...just the most expensive item left to get.
  6. I want to pick up some AT skis. I am about 5'10 and 140lbs. Been downhill skiing for about 15+ years. What would be a good length? IS the K2 Mt. Baker Randonnee Ski a good one and can anyone recommend a good ski?
  7. Check out WA triple AAA. When I signed up last year they had no question about climbing at all. The main stipulation is that you could not do any of your sports as a "Professional."
  8. Bro, Sweet looking. I'd be up for some ice climbing sometime.
  9. That is a sad excuse for a crack. Looks more like a muddy beach.
  10. Those are not lats, it is excess Yankie fat trying to get out.
  11. Unless you have the NEXUS pass be prepared for extra brutal line-ups at the Peace Arch and Truck crossings every w-end for the next few years. Starting Nov.5th the Yanks start tearing up their crossing at the Peace Arch and they won't be finished until just before the 2010 Olympics. Happy Waiting
  12. I'll be at L'Worth Sun, Mon and Tuesday.
  13. I am so sure BD employees from Salt Lake are lining up and saying, "Please, pretty please send me to a country that is an environmental nightmare and shows even more disregard for human life than the Bush regime." Can only imagine the quality of BD employees that would actually choose that serious hell-hole over the low grade one of America.
  14. I spoke to a rep today at BD about the fact their cams are made in China. I asked him if they are tested upon return to the US and he was not prepared to give me a straight answer. He said BD employees are making the cams in China...I asked him if the employees came from the US and he could not give me an answer. With all the crap coming out of China nowadays and the seeming lack of quality control on this end in America I really wonder about BD and their products.....
  15. That is totally bogus. That is the friggin' American so-called legal system for you.....Lucky they did not send you to Gitmo.

  18. Called, "The Last Ridge" by McKay Jenkins
  19. I just finished reading a book about those guys....It was quite good.
  20. Prepare to freeze! It is at around 6500ft so if it is not snowing then it will be cold and windy....BRRRRRRRRRRRR....
  21. Where is the probable cause? I could see if they were hunting down an escaped convict but that is about it. NPS cops are sometimes the worst Nazis out there. I have been in the Valley a number of times and have seen the Nazis all hassling people with little or no cause.
  22. looking for a partner to do some climbing in Squamish the next couple of weekends. I am heading out from Seattle.
  23. Why would you move to Ellensburg? :} Great climbing up in the Stuart area though....Tieton river or chossman's coulee are close by as well.
  24. NWS just issued a heavy rainfall warning for Seattle..2-4 inches Sun night/Mon morn with heavier rainfall in the Cascades and Olympics....Have to love Summer?? in the Northwest.
  25. Ummmmmm...this site is for the NorthWest.
