  1. He went off on Friday to do the fieldwork (couple of months in the interior of BC) for this thesis...so it is very unlikely to be Dru.
  2. Weather is looking good for next weekend.....I am looking for a partner to climb on the Sat and Sun. Also hoping to check out some of the climbing fest. Doug
  3. Anchorage is quite a long drive :}
  4. I also saw some Dude stomping an ant to death on the sidewalk in the 'Ham for no friggin'
  5. L-Worth..rainshadow yes. The problem is that winter is still winter. So from late October to spring it is cold and snowy over there.
  6. The 'Ham is totally jingus. You are lucky to get out of there alive after driving through the industrial part of town....the only reason it is there is so Canadians can come down and shop at Bellis Fair Mall. Oh yeah, Washington/Rainy Pass is called that for a reason..if it is raining in the 'Ham it is likely raining up there as well. Just stay away from the place it is a big black hole.
  7. I lead around 5.9/10ish..follow harder...still shaking off some rust. Looking for folks who would like to climb at Squamish and Index...mostly weekends as I look after my little one during the weekdays. Have car and all the other crap. Live over on Bainbridge. Doug
  8. You are lucky you're still alive.
  9. I live on Bainbridge and am looking to get out climbing on weekends as well.
  10. A lot of dog owners do it be they are self-centered DUMB-ASSES! Any time you go to a city park, the beach or even walking on a sidewalk you see dogs not on a leash and piles of dog shit everywhere. The other day I was walking on a sidewalk with my little girl and we stopped as an off leash dog took a dump ten feet ahead of us on our walk.....guess what the owner did? JACK ALL. Just left a steaming pile of shit on the sidewalk. We caught up to him and I politely(as my little one was there) asked him to go clean up his dog's poop...He said no..I then started dialing the cops on my cell phone and told him he had three seconds before the call went through. He then went and picked up the poop. The police here are pretty Nazified which can be good and bad...good to fine dumb-asses like this. Now these are the dumb-asses I am talking about. I have been up to Washington Pass, Back of the lake at Lake Louise and many other climbing areas where dogs were loose running around whining and shitting everywhere. I don't hate dogs..I had them growing up but we were respectful and considerate of others but it seems for the most part those days are over.....Just a bunch of fucking idiotic dog owners with no respect for others or the environment now. That's my three cents!
  11. Leave your dog at HOME! Was up there this past weekend and there were way too many dogs wandering around off-leash crapping all over the place (with the owners not picking up droppings) and walking on people's ropes. If owners can not be responsible, which seems to be more and more the norm now days, then leave them at home. There are just too many dumb ass dog owners out there.
  12. Climbed at Tieton the last couple of weekends and the ratings are a little bit stiff. The area is full of rattlesnakes and ticks. Stay away!!!!
  13. Carry all of your grub with you.
  14. Crossing the border is never automatic. I would not volunteer that you are unempoloyed..just tell them you are traveling for a month to do some climbing and hiking. If you stay longer than you say no one is going to care at the US crossing as they can not deny a citizen entry into their own country.
  15. Looks like another awful weather week on the West side of the MTns I just moved to Bainbridge a month ago and would love to escape over to Tieton or Frenchman's....I've been trad climbing 10+ years and looking for some partner(s).....Anyone? Doug
  16. He is a Sack! I met him a couple of times in the Valley and he should never be mentioned in the same breath as Beckey, Robbins, Croft or a boatload of other non-poser climbers. I am glad Chouinard dropped him like a lead weight. I always wondered why Patagucci wanted anything to do with that SACK!
  17. Enumclaw and Chilliwack are two frigging completely different places! Farmers in the Whack get their calendars from one of the hundreds of churches....not from some friggin' American inbreds.
