Aren't we supposed to be at the picnic now? I'm stuck at work, what's your excuse?

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD! Will these shinanegans ever stop!

Not only are they stylish, but functional. Like spandex or shorts over polypro. Seriously, most of the time on an approach, I am just in a base layer. Gore-tex will get you wet more from your own sweat than conditions. A windshirt can provide moderate protection with the breathability required for constant motion. My biggest complaint is $120 for $3 worth of nylon material with a DWR.

Very articulate, about what I would expect from you.

Ok, I'm taking Ivan's advice and trying to see if I can get a couple pages here; My opinions on: a. smoking in the muir hut Tobacco!?! BS, inexcusable and plain inconsiderate. I belive the original thread was about smoking pot in the Muir hut. Again, inconsiderate if there are other people in the hut to begin with. Then you ask, "Mind if we roast one?" I understand the wind is a bitch out there. On the other hand, if no one is in the hut, then it's fair game. I quit years ago for my own reasons, I appreciate being offered it, cause that's common courtesy but I'll politly decline. b. evolution vs evilution You mean evolution vs creation? I believe Science & Religion must agree. In the final anaylsis, science answers what religion can't about the physical world & religion answers what science can't about the spiritual world. I believe you can't get something outta nothing. If there was a true void or nonexistance, there would be no matter to build upon. Also, consider the improbable odds, that all these events would have occured to make this planet inhabitable. c. christianity Another Religion, in the same classification as other world Religions. The distinction that must be made is the teachings of the Founder and how man has interpreted it. d. obama vs. billary vs mccain Running short on time so making this simple. Obama has my vote. e. titanium sporks I own one, doesn't everybody? f. coke vs pepsi Coke. It's a no brainer and of course g. bolting n' sport climbing gotta start somewhere, but it's better than bouldering

I thought it was more of extending the proverbial olive branch, considering I disagree with the majority of KKK's statements.

Fair enough, We have appreciation threads for gearshops, now it's trendy to have appreciation threads for cc'ers. Let's face it, we owe it to these sprayers for our humor and office distractions. Love em or hate em, the board wouldn't be the same without them.

I don't think the kid was telling the whole story. I bet the tree people were chasing him.

Aww, for me!?! So lets have it, what is controvesial about me or my opinions?

Secondly, What's up with all these treads dedicated to specific members? We have one for Porter, Kevbone, JayB and John Frieh. What's next?

I heard that these rebates are actually a front or loan on our individual return that will have to be paid back in 08. Any truth to this? (because cc.com is my source for the truth & the news).

http://www.cnn.com/2008/CRIME/04/29/pirates/index.html The International Maritime Bureau says 49 attacks were reported in the first three months of 2008, compared with 41 for the same period last year. It recorded 263 pirate attacks last year, up from 239 the year before and the first increase in three years. Worse still, analysts estimate that the numbers are underreported by as much as 30 percent. A piracy case raises insurance rates for ship owners, said Ioannis Michaletos, security analyst for Greece-based Research Institute for European and American Studies. So, "unless there's a death, many ship owners won't report it," he said.

The only thing missing from that video was midgets.

[TR] Shuksan - White Salmon Glacier 4/26/2008
Hendershot replied to AlpineK's topic in the *freshiezone*
Like I said on TAY, thanks for the heads up on the crevasse Amar! From sounds of the TR, it was more serious than I thought, glad you are ok. I haven't figured out how to post picks on TAY, but snapped one of you guys on your way down as my buddy & I were headed up. At 2 am Sunday, we didn't get the freeze we were hoping for and gave up our summit attempt after considering other factors. Dug a snow pit and went back to our tent. -
Woodchips, considering all you did was take it out of it's package, it is still not used. I would buy it. I trust backcountry enough to inspect all returned goods. I highly doubt the possibility of the situation you describe would actually occur.

Hey, those rebate checks might actually be coming to a bank acount near you. http://money.cnn.com/2008/04/24/pf/taxes/Stimulus_checks/index.htm?cnn=yes

Your body will absorb the sugars very rapidly. Even if you spew a good amount of bile, a fair portion of the calories will already be absorbed. I found peanuts and sunflower seeds to curb the munchie craving. When I have a candy binge, a stairmaster session is to repent.

Should I take the horse off? Horseshoes ends one of two ways. Either someone says this is stupid, lets do something else or someone gets hit by a horseshoe.

Why are you on cc.com now? Get back to the beach!
-
Sorry, but it was a snoozer and put me to sleep. The lame interviews were the worst. "Isn't that scary?"

Most of my married friends have their balls in a mason jar over the fireplace and have to use a library card issued by wifey to go out for the weekend. Can I get a witness?
-
I see, so gardening helped you get your balls back?

Looks like the description on amazon was an error. Like the $15k Mammut belay device.
