nitpicking is so much fun! Hardly a nitpick. The Kyoto protocol, for example, is a non-self executing treaty. It requires further specific legislation to enact it, which the Bush administration has refused to support. It has also not been ratified (ditto). For those two reasons, Kyoto is not part of U.S. law. It would have taken someone like KKK about five seconds to mistakenly post Kyoto as an example of why treaties are 'not law' and therefore do not matter, so I decided to head that one off at the pass and save myself a little time. I wasn't saying you were nitpicking, I was the one nitpicking your duplication of "non-self executing" to describe both types

...and therefore wouldn't benefit from any mortgage breaks. only a lower property tax, which is a good system and is already in place here in the T-C's (both my grandmothers have drastically slashed property taxes b/c they're old and don't have much income)

yeah, it seemed to be tongue in cheek to me unless I don't understand either. the poorest of the poor are not likely to own, I would guess.

Don't worry, they're working out the details as we speak, I'm sure.

yet the average liberal mind paradoxically blames the immigrant Europeans who wouldn't fit in with the Native Americans for all the trouble and injustice that resulted. however, archy, I'd say the lazy French workers striking all the time cause quite a bit of trouble for the world traveler too. don't let them socialist leeches off easy.

those who deny it is a daily choice are most likely to fail on the wedding day, you only make the decision to promise forever, not the decision to follow through with the promise. staying together and loving each other is a choice you must continue to make, not something that just happens to you because you promised.

if that's true, then supper is all you're going to get

whoa, nice work on the quick re-programming to remove the body of text from the "past 24" search results. that makes a huge difference in readability. i think i'll change my moodz just because of that

what the flip does lurker, journeyman, newbie mean?
ClimbingPanther replied to KingsMM's topic in Climber's Board
OK, you're taking a lot of flak here, I'll give you a break. Here's how to change your "title" step one: acquire a long list of disparaging remarks; variety is worth extra points, and multiple profanities will double your score step two: methodically post them in response to trip reports and serious discussions in any forum but "spray;" trip reports and newbie section are both worth double points step three: enjoy your new title! -
wow this is the lamest internet argument evar. people arguing with other people who actually understand and support their cause and are trying to help. weird.

what the flip does lurker, journeyman, newbie mean?

it's not a complete list though. Q."Why don't you eat a bag of c@cks?" Q."Why are you so stupid?" Q."Did your mommy buy your college degree for you?" Q."Can I help you get the sand out?" Q."Can't you just admit the earth is heating up because of us?" Q."Can I gently pinch your man-boob?" The answer to all of these questions is: (that's your cue, KkkKk) -
use your internet connection, dear

don't make me post a monkey picture... aw, archy, can't a guy have a little fun here and there? the guys who state it tongue-in-cheek are usually the ones who know exactly what's going on. I am deeply in love with the woman I'm going to marry next April, and I resonate with all the comments about making it work, choosing love, etc. I'm not afraid to admit I'm all hers, and I don't care what anybody thinks. I know exactly what he feels and I feel the same way. My friends are all married and we all joke about the whip, but it's funny because we all know it's not true, that we're all seriously in love with our wives (or wife to be) and they're the most important person in our lives and therefore deserve the attention worthy of their position. The one who honestly derides the commitment of another is selfish and likely jealous of losing a friend. That's no longer funny, and is worthy of your ire.
