  1. the ultimate is that xenophobe climb over on the mudpile at smith. It's called 10c but it's basically a bolted V1 into a 5.6 slab. Awesome.
  2. I found my feet got wet from sweat because of the gore-tex, rather than wet from the outside. When it's wet outside, gore-tex is basically a trashbag.
  3. they do smell bad on the outside, as they say.
  4. yeah mine wore out quickly too, but they have been great boots for the n. cascades. They would be a poor choice for winter boots in my opinion. They are fairly cold. They are ideal for spring-fall alpine rock with a bit of snow though.
  5. when you have white gas, the world is your tinderbox.
  6. the latest rage is narwhals.
  7. Those suckers are always breaking down.
  8. nice, I had a teddy bear once too.
  9. big ups to the crag.com homies
  10. If the weather is clear to fly and choppers are out looking for you, a signal mirror is solid gold. It's amazing how hard it is to see climbers on a mountain from an aircraft. And something to separate you from the snow/rock is pretty much essential if you're going to be there for any length of time.
  11. he's the moderator of this thread. hopefully he'll delete your useless post.
  12. elle mcpherson (she folds up nicely in an andinista)
  13. Shouldn't you head to Ruby's Cafe? Pfft are you crazy? Without shoulder-length slings on the pro, the chemical signature analysis is as useful as arranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.
  14. I must TR this crack first to get samples for XRD analysis before I can determine the appropriate pro selection. To the labs!
  15. is this what the scattered tea leaves told you or what
  16. I hear his bowline tying technique is a disgrace...
  17. Nice to see quotes from the warrior-poet Rumsfeld have made it into the discussion.
  18. hung like a narwhal
  19. FKNA thanks for getting my name right with the underscore and everything. -Cobra_Commander
  20. take pictures. I find the post pubclub TRs entertaining.
  21. Only at the bottom he is confronted by a hoard of gaper stone rollers who spray about proper stone rolling technique and the ethics of gravity. The festering dialogue turns to "I have 30+ years of rolling stones and that's unsafe trundling...etc"
  22. how about the phallic nature of the red lion inn logo
  23. That must have felt like forever...it's a long ways down and back up to that climb if I remember right. Incredible luck about the back, thank goodness. So easy to accidently catch a crampon on those rambling step climbs like that.
