Coldfinger, are you presented with the unique opportunity of being able to make a choice on whether to bang a cute hippie chick or a cute pirate chick? You Dog!

DOH! Drove from Eugene to Corvallis last night with 30 ft of climbing rope dragging behind. I love 50m ropes!!! At least it was 2 tails of a bipattern, so after cutting it, the center of the bipattern is still the center... I need a new rope.

In the afternoon mushiness crevasse snow bridges get soft and are more apt to collapse with a climbers weight. I've had a partner punch through a snowbridge in the afternoon, but it was fine when we crossed in the morning.

Sargent's ridge is a nice straightforward adventure. Casaval is very good too. -

Wouldnt it be fun if they left a pea shooter and ammo in the summit register ammo box! I'll do that next time I hit a seldom-climbed peak. What, you can get a leaver-shooter for less than 100$ these days right?!? 40$ of .22 ammo would = years of fun on the summit!! ...and if I get caught i'll just say some guy on the interwebz gave me the idea. -
love your music choice Tom! Looks like an incredible year. rawk on!

...or, is anyone willing to sell off some of their climbing movie library?

So I've got a projector from work for a while, and have been having friends over for movie nights recently. I'd like to build a nice collection of climbing movies and other outdoor movies (mtn biking, snowboarding...). Any suggestions on some good films to watch?

love skiing in to Maiden Peak shelter. ti is a long day in and out, but well worth it. Most people I know have had a mini epic getting there their first time (including myself) so you might want to bring someone along who has been there before if you go.

seen this yet? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/comment/ambroseevans_pritchard/8844646/World-power-swings-back-to-America.html#disqus_thread The US already meets 72pc of its own oil needs, up from around 50pc a decade ago. "The implications of this shift are very large for geopolitics, energy security, historical military alliances and economic activity. As US reliance on the Middle East continues to drop, Europe is turning more dependent and will likely become more exposed to rent-seeking behaviour from oligopolistic players," said Mr Blanch. Meanwhile, the China-US seesaw is about to swing the other way. Offshoring is out, 're-inshoring' is the new fashion. "Made in America, Again" - a report this month by Boston Consulting Group - said Chinese wage inflation running at 16pc a year for a decade has closed much of the cost gap. China is no longer the "default location" for cheap plants supplying the US. A "tipping point" is near in computers, electrical equipment, machinery, autos and motor parts, plastics and rubber, fabricated metals, and even furniture. "A surprising amount of work that rushed to China over the past decade could soon start to come back," said BCG's Harold Sirkin. The gap in "productivity-adjusted wages" will narrow from 22pc of US levels in 2005 to 43pc (61pc for the US South) by 2015. Add in shipping costs, reliability woes, technology piracy, and the advantage shifts back to the US.

if my male climbing partner pulls out this "kit"..
111 replied to genepires's topic in Climber's Board
review: "difficult to use" "While I found that the contents of the kit are quite comprehensive and ample, I have not been able to use this item yet. I have recommended it to several friends, many friends really, and even some new acquaintances, and have not been able to get anybody to use this item with me yet. I imagine a willing and knowledgable partner would make this kit more useful." 8D -

So does this mean my rack of Aliens that have been waiting to sell until they've appreciated enough are now worthless? Noooooooo!!!! Am I confused or is the photo of the alien on their main page misleading? Look at the "shop" tab; they only sell the head design in a very different cam body.
