  1. Thank you Jason. You're a good friend.
  2. Anyone know anything more, or who this may have been? Skagit County Herald
  3. It wasn't Bug at all. By the way, I love his current avy. Fits perfectly, and excellent artwork. It was actually one , (1), did I mentioned ONE person (female) that didn't like coming to a climbing site and being threatened by the objectification of women? I get that...I guess. So, I prefer to play nice. My apologies for the drift, Darstog.
  4. Got it. Thanks! And Sobo, it's appropriate to stay properly dressed here. We do have a level of decorum.
  5. Just out of curiousity, what is the difference between WFR and WFA? What is covered in the WFR course that won't be covered in this WFA course? I'm considering taking this, but if it makes more sense to take a WFR course, then perhaps I should wait.
  6. Here's a really good AAC tribute to them: [video:vimeo]5115667
  7. I have no idea who this guy is, but for those that would like a little more explanation, it's worthwhile. [video:youtube]AERzcQ7xqog
  8. Nice work fellas. Please forgive me if my OP came off as being critical. I really was just wondering if you had in fact somehow found a line down the EGH itself, I would have loved to hear where it was if you had. Great job in getting up there. Great pics too.
  9. Yes Joe, the Coe is around the corner. I'm not calling BS on this, but aside from a shitty, steep thread winding through the route, and a precarious drop into/onto the Eliot GH, where is the line? I know it's "skiable," but where exactly did you ski it? You can drop off CR and pretty much ski any line from there, but a true descent of the EGH? Not that you didn't do it. I'm just curious.
  10. I've wondered the same thing and finally decided that it looks like an adirondack chair with a queen reclining comfortably with herself completely splayed out for the city of Portland. Great photo BTW Bill. I can't wait to see the others.

Maybe this has something to with the fact that I have a new LT and I made the choice (probably the wrong choice) to go with Vista (and IE7). But when I log in here...and only here, things are fragmented. Once I sign on and go to a particular thread and hover, my cursor is actually looking at the thread (or poster's name, depending on where it is) above. It's all screwed up. I have to refresh every time in order to fix it. Every time. It's driving me insane. And the same problem mentioned earlier keeps occurring when I back out of a thread, it immediately drops to the ad at the bottom of the page. The ads seem to be running the show around here. Yes, I've cleared my cookies...MANY times. Are these both related? Why only here? Is it me?? What's happening??? I made a nice donation last November, then my avatars, though praised by Sobo and others, get lambasted by a few squeaky wheels and things begin to fall apart. Maybe I need to get a Mac or upgrade to Firefox. Maybe I need to post more TR's. Maybe I just need to ignore my company and just post in spray all day long. So, I got rid of the avatars...what else? More money? Any advice??
  12. I think this show needs to be an annual show...and move it to Vegas...or any place other than SLC. Plus, trade shows are ineffective and attendance is shrinking. For both the show exhibitors and most importantly, the buyers that attend, the limited budgets everyone is dealing with right now dictates a once a year show. The market is shrinking, and there isn't that much new stuff. I get the winter/summer aspects of having two shows, but I think you can accomplish it all in one show. If you're a new, upcoming company, you can blow your load more efficiently and less expensively in one show, if need be, and make the presentation/debut that you need to market your product. And it frees up time and money to actually go and see your customers. As an example, if you're business is electronics, there's only one premiere show you should attend: CES. They definitely cover the bases, but even at this major show, with lots of the latest, cool products, many key buyers didn't bother to show up. As far as having the show in SLC; aside from having an opportunity to experience climbing, skiing and a great place to mountain bike, there are much better places to have a show. Vegas? Maybe, maybe not. I just said that above off handedly, but there are certainly many places, say in, Colorado, that could accomodate a show of this size. But more to that, there are so many places around the country that would be better suited, and I think more welcome, than SLC is (no offense Layton ...you need to come home anyway ). Every time I'm there, both summer and winter, I get a sense that the city is just putting up with the show...to get the revenue, and then get back to the business at hand. JMO. Let's move this show to once a year, have it in: Vegas, Bend or somewhere in NorCal...anywhere but UT. It's time to make a change. I realize this doesn't specifically address the OT, I just thought I would give my $.02
  13. That's an incredible speciman. Hopefully it will pull through.
  14. He won't be able to handle being in a suit. He'll be back in a few weeks, no doubt. Good luck Mike. We'll miss you.
  15. If anyone is looking, REI in Tualatin had at least 5 copies of #25 yesterday. I thought these were long gone.

+1 more. I noticed it the other day when I logged on after not being here for a while. Every time I clicked on a paged (or back-spaced) I was taken to the bottom of the page to the ads.
  17. Here are a bunch of photos of the damage in the area. Pretty amazing. Link
