  4. Best alpine/ice: Mammut 8.9 70M super sick and light Cragging: 9.8 Mammut. I have been spending the extra 20 or 40 bucks and just buyign their ropes, seem to hold up well and are supple right out of the bag.
  5. looks good, i backed off that thing a couple years back. Not the pillar but the approach pitch had these crazy mushrooms that were four feet apart. Always wanted to come back and send that and the pencil.

  8. find enough booty to pay for your trip?
  9. I know this sounds crass...but how many times you going to ask before you just go do it? I mean there are not a lot of A3/A4 climbers in the state. I know that Tyler has contemplated that route many times. If you do it...make sure to post up some pics of the gnar!!
  10. looks like the A- Strain is in...heard any reports of it or the GCC getting climbed?
  11. Sounds like you had a good time. Pictures of Cabin fever bring back good memories of soloing and having huge chuncks hit me in the face and then building a deadman with a tree. thanks for the photo stoke.
  12. How bout an example of said silly/dangerous activites reenacted by non pro climbers? Sometimes I drink mate while leading a sport climb in my flip flops becasue I saw Prorad anker doing it once.
  13. Looking to see if anyone wants to leave the bay area friday night and go climb ice or rock all weekend. I am a ropegun for most, I just require that you have your own gear, and are not a bumbling gumby. contact my email at: bryan_schmitz@yahoo.com
  14. that is a super sweet tree on top
  15. Gear whore! Someday, when I grow up, I'm gonna be a REAL GEAR-HO, like BILLCOE... no you need to have 20+ ropes each in there own labeled rope bag for that to happen!!
  16. Just a digression from the thread topic. I hiked in to Strobach with a couple other cc.com'ers yesterday and nothing was in, and had let Kevin know after I returned. the Unclimbed A, watchtower, and errection direct stand as unclimbed for yet year....woop
  17. Shave it down by shaving your legs, balls, and hair to cut down on wind resistence.
  18. the rock looks way to solid for WI7....
  19. no that another one of tyler's projects. nice work getting out and getting after smith...its a beautiful time of year to be there. I think the colors are more vibran in the winter. very jealous

  21. super sick photo thanks for the stoke Dane, makes me wish I was on the weeping wall with ya instead of chilling in my cube...boo
  22. sounds like someone need to go climb the unrepeated Matriarch in Hylite: WI 7 5.11+, gear. Take a look at what real WI7 looks like. WI7 is supposed to be similar to A5; No gear that would hold on countinous overhanging delicate ice with a crappy anchor. Can't blame them for never climbing on Hylite or Cody.
  23. looks like a lot of fun, beautiful views. look at the ice on the west face of sloan...anyone going to get it this year. looks prime
