  13. Excellent lawn aerating device!!! I say go for it! Rumr! You're a fekin Genius! dr_C....I'll buy that second pair from you if you'll come over and walk on my lawn
  14. Oh....can I answer this? Please? Pretty please? None! (yet) This is my friend I was asking the question for....also known as Emelda Marcos
  15. This was my thought as well...maybe some perverse form of ballet or possibly an evil hockey skate? My friend, BY THE WAY, has never ice climbed in his life...so that is why I asked the question.
  16. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, QUIT BEING STUPID!!! Don't be an anus, Cracked. I am soliciting opinions for a friend who thinks he wants a pair. Do you buy gear just because the advertisement says you should? Well...maybe you do....but my question was, "ARE THEY PRACTICAL?" Or...is it just another pair of boots for the Emelda Marcos of climbing gear to spend his money on.
  17. Are these practical? What would you use them for? http://www.peglers.co.uk/scarpaphantomice.html
  18. Ozette....its beautiful and a moderate hike.
  19. You are doing the right thing...I used to have a 'sploder' and now I have a Forester (2000 not a 2003) and I love it. There is plenty of room for gear and 2 - 3 people for a weekend, although not to sleep in. I can sleep in the back of my Forester but I'm only 5'3....the Outback gives you more length but I'd fold the seats down and stretch out in it before you buy it, if thats a deciding factor. The numbers speak for themselves....they're safe, get great gas mileage, handle well, are zippy enough if you're not Mario Andretti, and can go almost anywhere since they have AWD. I haven't heard anything about the new V6 model but I do know they look good Obvioulsy 6 cyl AWD is going to get worse gas mileage than a 4 cyl....but for me, the 4 cyl is great. If you tow more than 2000k, then I'd opt for the bigger engine. Good Luck!
  20. Dude...no WAY. Really? Damn....I've got a plaster cast on my hand....could be used as a club....I wonder if they'll make me saw it off at the door? Doh...then there are pins in my arm...could be used to stab somebody's eyes out...maybe I should just forget it.
  21. The REALLY scarey thing was...at the top....the one who was trying to haul her friend back up to the top was only anchored in with a quickdraw...when I got over to her she was being pulled off the edge because her friend was scrambling for a hold....any hold....at the end of the rope. I anchored myself with my daisy chain and our rope, then loaned her a personal anchor and tied her in with our rope as well. That was just wierd....really surreal and scarey actually because those girls could have been in some serious trouble....heh heh sorry....didn't mean to cause thread wander here... was just remembering the good old days when i used to climb
  22. http://www.hob.com/tickets/eventdetail.asp?eventid=29300 Its an excellent value and both myself and my french chaeuffeur will be there...I'm willing to carpool if anybody wants to...parking down there is crazy! PM me if innerested.
