Considering my attendance at the 11worth RopeUp ... Those of you in the know ... please describe this event to the best of your ability ... IN ONE WORD. What should this gal expect?

I was specifically referring to NOLSe in this thread ... although the lynch mob reference could apply to plenty of threads on this board. All this negative energy ... blech.

Love the infantile lynch mob mentality represented in this thread ... A question for any/all viewing moderators: I'm curious. At what point does a thread qualify as one that contains "personal attacks or sexually oriented, defamatory, abusive, or hateful material" explicity prohibited in the board rules? Your help clarifying this for me would be appreciated.

That's really something else .... I want to clarify that I don't agree with all the ideology of the modern feminist movememt, however, even *I* cringed when I read some of this. My favorite part was the classification of two kinds of workers in the paragraph above .... "women" and "normal."

I think this one from this weekend takes the cake in capturing my sheer unattractiveness. Taken of me, by me, at 10:00 p.m. in the tent at Muir on summit night when I couldn't sleep. Can you say bored? And what is with the size of my nose? Some sort of altitude-related edema? Blech.

Sounds like a route I need to put on my volcano tick list ... Thanks for sharing!

Climb: Mt. Rainier-Disappointment Cleaver Date of Climb: 8/1/2004 Trip Report: 3rd time's a charm ... 3 weeks ago, I failed to get up Rainier due to a couple of sick team members. This time, my Dad and I ditched the team and went with just the two of us and summited Sunday morning. Because of the heat, we opted to get out of camp at Muir at 11:15 p.m. on Saturday and were on the summit at 6:00 a.m. Sunday morning - slowed a bit by a nice brisk headwind the entire way as well as the condition of the cleaver. The views on the summit were stunning, the skies blue, the sun out, albeit a little windy. We descended in 3 hours to Muir in deteriorating conditions from the heat and were glad to get back to the tent and wash the dirt out of our teeth and eyes from the cleaver and gap. After a 15 minute snooze and a quick bite, we packed up and headed down to the car ... and then to Scale Burger ... where we polished off a couple of Overload burgers and some deep fried miscellany. Sweet! Isn't Baker just plain pretty? It's very cool that you are taking the time to climb with your son! My favorite climbing partner is my Dad to this day. This is something he'll remember it for the rest of his life.
