suck, suck, suck. Have we mentioned you suck?

RE: ripping fingers off, the good thing about Tungsten carbide ,( even though it is super hard), is that it is fairly brittle, so a good whack with a hammer shatters it pretty well. That's the only reason they can make rings out of it.

Omega-Pacific, made in Spokane, although they were using (paid) prison labor fow awhile, so choose your evil maybe.

Damn, I had the same experience in the parking lot at Snoqualmie (West) in mid-Jan! Serious pain in the neck to cancel all the cards, after $2000 of electronics in Wenatchee....

If this is a sign of how thin resources are getting, no wonder Gregoire and Schweitzer are pissing themselves about the upcoming fire season... yikes!

mmmm, bot fly infestation!

>smart ass answers welcome Buy Fritschis!

Yes, the dinky Lexan stuff is garbage. Concrete, kids, not styrofoam! Although, it's kinda shitty to say you were exhausted after 3 feet, don't you think you could pull out another 45 min of effort?

Check out Marmot in Bellevue, they have a boat load of overboots on sale, mostly discontinued, etc.

I'll take the 9, 10 and 12's depending on how many you've got! thanks Drew -
They are just like any other profit oriented corporation, sadly. The entire idea of a co-op (get good deals for your memebers) is gone, gone, gone. I first realized this when I went to the flagship store in Denver- they have a walk-in FREEZER to test outerwear, and it is all so damn shi-shi it is obvious where your money is going. ALso, take a look at the ratio of real gear to Gramichis and Patugucci fashion in the last few catalogs. That's where the damn profit is.... Shop the sales, forget 'em the rest of the time.

Some ideas in old TRs, but any thoughts regarding set-ups for straps with Fritschis? The setup included with the bindings seems ultra-goofy, any reason to not use a tele-style cable? Experiences with brakes? (more money, more weight) cheers Drew

I think the argument is if you learn to be a hack with a "fail-safe" harness, and do goofy things like tying into gear loops, what happens when you borrow someone else's harness? It's like learning to "belay" with a GriGri..... You gotta learn the right way to do things before you can make informed decisions about alternatives.

Not mine, but maybe what you are looking for. http://seattle.craigslist.org/spo/58011690.html

Agree with the above. Skip Eldora (you'll prolly be a little dissapointed) and sure as hell don't buy into the Vail/Aspen hype- overpriced idiocy. Plenty of good snow elsewhere in CO. Loveland is nice (and closest), but I'd spend my money at A-basin, Copper or Breck.

Anybody wanna place bets on when/if the resorts get some real snowpack?
-
from their website... STEVENS IS CLOSED UNTIL WE RECEIVE MORE SNOW! Due to the heavy rain conditions, we are sad to report that we will be closed until we receive more snow. We received 6" of rain in a 24 hour period that did significant damage to critical areas of our runs. The warming and rain trend is forecast through the weekend. Please check back periodically for updates. STAY TUNED TO THIS REPORT AND TO OUR SNOWLINES 425-353-4400, 509-782-5516 FOR MORE INFORMATION. THANK YOU AND HOPE FOR SNOW!

Does anyone out there remember the winter in the mid-70's? How does it compare with this craziness? Also, can anyone remember another time when so many resorts closed for wahile mid-season?

Sign of the times.... LOL! http://seattle.craigslist.org/spo/56170981.html

Damn, I bet they were shocked! Hope it all ends well...

Ahh yes, I am a crackhead and assumed this post was under Freeshies!

Do you know, or are you simply hoping? Or are you gonna bootpack and poach?
