Question... How many sitting presidents have been ousted in the middle of a war? On the upside we'll get a nice swing and probably a good 8 years of Democrats after the next presidential election. Now if the supreme court justices can just hang on for 4 more years.

I think i'm coming down with a 4-year long flu, nausea, aches, pains, headaches, the works.

Good luck and take care Scott.

I think Bush is probably less evil than everyone is making him out to be. I'm sure he absolutely believes he's doing what's best for the country, and isn't intentionally lying or misleading anyone. He doesn't strike me as that nefarious. I think the biggest problem is the decision making strategy, culture, and advisors he's surrounded himself with. He's seems awfully isolated from any position opposing his own, and as such he's not forced to think critically about the reasons against his actions and at least consider them. He always seems a little shocked and disdainful when people voice a strongly differing opinion, as if he just doesn't understand how anyone could think that way. Which strikes me as though he's never really considered the differing opinion beyond summarily dismissing.

Not exactly on topic but interesting none-the less. There are some third world countries that do a better job running transparent elections than we do.

I may also be paranoid but I do the same thing when i'm setting up a toprope, and am expecting a reasonable amount of traffic on it.... I figure I bought the damn things, I might as well put them to good use

Is spelling the best you can do? As usual, insulting people is pointless argument tactic meant to discredit the individual on issues completely unrelated to the argument at hand. If your arguments don't stand sufficiently on their own, then the insults, and slanders come out. If your arguments can't stand on their own then that's your own problem.... I think in the grand scheme of elections the amount of fraud by absentee ballots in the country is probably minimal. Especially when considered with respect to partisan redefining of districts, the current necessity of the electoral college as opposed to a popular vote, or the current problems with the electronic voting systems even if they are an improvement(which is questionable) over paper ballots and the famous "hanging chad" issue. Absentee allows people who may otherwise not vote to guarantee they vote, and guarantee the privacy of their votes, in light of the partisan groups that actually operate poling stations. We don't even need to get started on the potential for indimidation tactics by the Republican party by challenging voters at the poles. Ohio Challenges or the concern in Florida over intimidation tactics. Story 1 Story 2

I mailed mine off on monday and new who I was going to vote for 6 months ago... your point is....????

quite whining. Just because you forgot to sign up for it and have to get your ass down to the poling station and stand in line in the rain, while Scott and I are sitting warm and dry....

What's a trad draw compared to a normal draw? Is this just a couple of biners and a runner made to whatever length you might need at the moment? since this is a valid question and were not in spray.... trad draws are typically made from a single length runner (24 in long roughly?) Clip both biners into opposite ends, pass one biner through the other biner and then clip the loops. Ends up tripled I think? Nice, short compact, then if you need to extend it, you unclip one of the biners, clip one of the strands and give it a tug, should return to full length

I wonder how hard they could climb? High muscle to wait ratio like little kids and those little fingers for jamming thin seams??

You can't do this without declaring war on a nation. Think about it. You are bombing on their soil. Soon enough the republican army would be shooting at our planes (even more than they already did) and all out war would have happened anyways. Haven't we already run bombing missions on their soil in the past when we weren't officially at war? Wasn't that 1/2 the purpose of the no-fly zone?

Which is why were in Afghanistan.... Georgie got that one right.

Or better yet, someone who kind find ways to avoid starting shit . I'd say "needing to start shit" but it wouldn't have been a "need" until Saddam was actually a real threat
-
wasn't contradicting just adding to the list, another example of a foreign power vs the populace and foreign power getting tossed on their ear.
-
England vs the US (1770's). Of course we did beat the American Indians, but that involved smallpox and genocide
