  3. yes, obama weather sucks tomorrow, everyone should caucus
  4. are those new reversos? how do they work?
  5. "conceptionday" does have much of a ring to it
  6. Presidents Day?? Quite the patriot!!
  7. Moderate is a fair assement. Most of the climbs on the bottom tier up to Mr seattle are approached via relatively short, but steep enough to slide slopes. Proper routefinding can get you to mr seattle with minimal exposure, other climbs may require more time on prone slopes. Eric8 kicked off a few slabs above mr seattle last winter.
  8. this might do it, but I think you need Topo ® software http://www.trailsillustrated.com/topo/file.cfm?fileid=780
  9. obama wins georgia
  10. argus - does that mean you will play if it fits in your schedule, or you would play, but your schedule is already full? Come on people, this will be fun!
  11. or take it directly to cascade designs.
  12. nice. the pictures of that first climb look awesome!
  13. So, is there any interest in doing this? Can't play a very good game with only 2-3 people.
  14. yeah, I think the insane level of commitment is the point. He only had like 3 or 4 ropes total, and did it all in a solo single push. Did you read that TR? It is mind blowing!
  15. 2002 subaru outback w/ ski rack - lately getting about 23mpg on hwy 1991 Toyota Previa AWD w/ ski rack and rocket box - seems to be averaging around 17 mpg lately. wish it was better.
  16. Also, consider Sahale. It is stunning and nowhere near as crowded as the popular volcanoes.

  18. Are you referring to the drip left of frenchman's in this photo:
  19. Does frenchman's ever freeze really solid? On saturday, while the falls had a lot of ice, the center of the flow was gushing water with only a thin shell of ice over it. That was after a number of days with lows in the single digits. It seems like the spring that feeds it is pretty warm. I dropped a glove in a hole at the bottom of the climb and tried to recover it and it was downright balmy down there.
  20. With only 6 more months of cobra, if your wife is ok with it, I think taking the job is the best thing you can do. Without insurance your wife will almost certainly be worse off.
  21. true, but the new ones feel noticeably different from the old ones imo. Have you used them yet?
  22. I finally had a chance to use the new BDs this past weekend, and they are pretty amazing. My previous favorite screw was the helix (which i own none of), but these new BDs really up the ante for easy starts. Would like to use them in more ice conditions before I completely commit to them, but the initial test was very promising.
  23. http://www.rockclimbing.com/Articles/Gear_and_Reviews/Arc_teryx_WST_Harness_Editorial_Review_777.html sounds pretty nice, but damn spendy$$$
  24. Climbed fugs today at easy WI3 with fun climbing and good gear. Also climbed Frenchmans at scary WI4 with difficult spotty gear. Perfect weather today, cloudy, cold and light snow. Maybe if the cloud cover holds and it stays cold, frenchmans will have a chance to consolidate. regardless, it is worth the drive out there just for fugs.
  25. picasaweb is a pain in the ass to use on forums, but it works. on the right side of the photo screen it should say "link to this photo" change the size to something useful like 800 pixels cut and paste the part where it says embed HTML it should look like this delete everything except the address following src=" i.e. http://lh4.google.com/Jason.Killgore/R2amU5M-TDI/AAAAAAAAByo/OaNz5MlNVLM/s800/IMG_3181.JPG embed that address in the tags hope this helps. If cc.com would accept html, you could use the code directly, but it doesnt (or I havent figured it out) so you have to improvise.
