  1. Down climb the West ridge!
  2. I prefered to take the direct route on the rock up from the pass, you climb over a few gendarmes and what not, but since I was there to climb and not walk around in snow(which general is the case) I found it quite enjoyable. Though from Ingalls lake follow the ridge at or close to the crest instead of dropping down into the basin below saves alot of wasted time.
  3. we might be down there as the weather does look best.
  4. red lodge jacket will work and for a similar thing that is a tad more try the marmot precip. no need to buy overpriced jackets.
  5. It is a bull snake. Also scary how the people line up to do one climb, there are so many others?
  6. Went to Lworth last wensday night, got home this afternoon.
  7. No more fat then you are cool.
  8. I go to Smith during the week, while the working slobs toil away dreaming of "their" weekend out at the crag.
  9. I believe Mr. Szyjakowski holds the "FAT" title.
  10. Drinking beer either here in oregon or up in washington.
  11. And Schultz blows the mission.
  12. You can easily drive 10hrs and put in a half day at the crags. You must drive all night and time when you leave, I see only half a day lost to driving. Ken pick me up.
  13. This drama is laid out like a jr. high lovefest.
  14. I wonder if that is my Sky Valley book that I lost last summer?? And what of my ice guide? Or my Yosemite guide book? Oh I wonder?
  15. I think all guides should be cewrtified, you would not want a "wannabe" dentist working on your teeth, so why would you want a "wannabe" guide leading you?
  16. the decent is sherpa glacier
  17. The truth? I wondered about this from the get go as I would trust George Bush and his coharts about as much as I trust any politicain. Read this article and think about it, seems plausible to me???
  18. There was some info posted in this thread recently.
  19. What happend to your Canyuckada romp?
  20. Thank you all, I have been there so I know the approach beta. I would just like to know more about the routes in which I am climbing.
  21. Who has the beta for Pete's pile or how can I get it? Thank you.
  22. Now a days I almost prefer a WC friend instead of a Camalot, though when I was starting out I liked the Camalots better as I found that placing it was more friendly. I use them both, but most of my larger cams now are forged friends as they are lighter hands down. I also love the WC spectra hexes, I once made fun of people who used them, but now they are my second set of cams. I greatly prefer the WC slung hexes over any other model.
  23. It is easier to do Stuart from the north side in a day then from the south side, thought you will be required to climb the entire ridge or skirt the base of it to get around to the chicken coulior.
  24. I will trade you an ultra light long for both of them.
