Oh so is that what drives you to climb mountains, AK? very interesting.

For a lot of women, no matter how much money they make, they'd reeaally rather be with a guy who makes even more than them. I think there's a certain stigma that goes with being with a man who makes less. So ladies with cashola might go after a less-well-off guy, and vice-versa... but usually just for a casual kinda thing. I'm currently in a long-term, yet rather casual, relationship with a hot MILFie chica who's 10 years older than me and ..... probably earns about twice as much as me. She's a doc. And NO, she's not my sugar-momma; we split most stuff 50/50. But if it were a more super-long-term relationship, you can bet I'd be wanting her to pay for more that just 50%...

Yeah transplant... don't let the smug little volcano-bashers discourage you!! Rainier is awesome. I haven't climbed it yet but I hope to next summer... but I'd say definitely start with some other big peaks around here if you haven't done them yet.. that's what I did... smaller volcanos like Adams, Hood, etc. There's so much to see/hike/climb around here beside just The Big R.

Transplant: so where do you live, Vancouver or something? Yeah St. Helens. let's do it!!! spring maybe? I've climbed it in winter before, wouldn't mind doing so again. -

ROMANCE MATHEMATICS Smart man + smart woman = romance Smart man + dumb woman = affair Dumb man + smart woman = marriage Dumb man + dumb woman = pregnancy OFFICE ARITHMETIC Smart boss + smart employee = profit Smart boss + dumb employee = production Dumb boss + smart employee = promotion Dumb boss + dumb employee = overtime SHOPPING MATH A man will pay $2 for a $1 item he needs. A woman will pay $1 for a $2 item that she doesn't need. GENERAL EQUATIONS & STATISTICS A woman worries about the future until she gets a husband. A man never worries about the future until he gets a wife. A successful man is one who makes more money than his wife can spend. A successful woman is one who can find such a man. To be happy with a man, you must understand him a lot and love him a little. To be happy with a woman, you must love her a lot and not try to understand her at all. Married men live longer than single men, but married men are a lot more willing to die. Any married man should forget his mistakes, there's no use in two people remembering the same thing. A woman marries a man expecting he will change, but he doesn't. A man marries a woman expecting that she won't change, and she does. A woman has the last word in any argument. Anything a man says after that is the beginning of a new argument. There are 2 times when a man doesn't understand a woman: before marriage and after marriage. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Yeah yeah, I know.. I know.. this is ol skool recycled shit.

calling out to fellow splitboarders...
Double_E replied to daveheinbach's topic in the *freshiezone*
So one thing I've always wondered about splitboards is.. .when you're touring in ski-mode (if that's what ya call it), how is it (are they) for going down short little hills while you're on the mostly-uphill part of the day?? can you ski downhill short stretches with them 1/2 boards? And how are the climbing attachments? work pretty good for steep climbs? I've always been skeptical of all the above. No splitboard plans for myself ... but a friend of mine who's an inbound-snowboarder is .... thinking of either getting a splitboard or AT skis!!! And I'm telling him he should go with the skis, partially cuz of this. Am esp. interested in hearing from those who have done splitboarding and also AT skiing. -
Right on... I actually ran in to him (I think) at Mt. Baker last winter, but he musta been on a snowboard (saw him in the lodge). Hah. converting the snowboarders!! way to go Dave!!!

PS... excerpt from an email I sent a friend about an hour ago, which will describe how I feel about Christmas ... well, in the context of my thoughts on the city of Bellevue. Can I just say.... .... that BELLEVUE GIVES ME THE FUCKIN *WILLIES*!?!?!?!?!? ugh. Marmot, the store I had to go to this evening, is right smack dab in downtown Bellevue. heart of the business and shopping district. Belleuve Square Mall and all the other big glitzy shit right next door. Xmas shoppers everywhere..... Xmas lights everywhere (more bulbs per cubic meter than I've probably seen, ANYwhere)... band on street corner playing soft-rock versions of motherfuckin Christmas carols (and loud, may I add... VERY loud.) ..... buncha guys dressed up as toy soldiers marching around, playing drums.... cheery-dressed men and wimmin stationed on streetcorners to smile and wave to motorists. eeaaghh. made my skin crawl. I mean, I'm not anti-Christmas at all, I do like the holidays .. so it wasn't exactly THAT. but just the whole scene, scenario, environment.

OK, it's my first CC.com poll. I'm curious as to why some people distaste Christmas so much. Select any two of the choices below. People who actually like Christmas, or who are ambivalent about it all... please dont vote. This poll is just for those who hate Christmas, or those who even just dislike it.
