We tried to send a moped with my friend to china. Even after we blew dry and WASHED the gas tank and lines, and left them open and unattached, they refused to take it on board because they could still smell gasoline. Maybe canister fuels are considered in the same category as hair sprays and such, but they sure seem freaked about any liquid fuels.

Sorry it came out that way. I was a little baffled at the existence of the film and its presence at the film fest. It's great that this guy's friends got together to haul him up one last cliff, but to make an artsy film about it is too "contrived" for my taste. I didn't realize that he wasn't really a quadripelegic, or that he was trying to do it under his own power. I mean, "Quadrapeligic fails attempt to climb the Chief" sounds pretty inane, doesn't it?

Yeah, I enjoyed that story immensely! I actually jumped when the phone rang. I loved the ending.

I saw a poster of this marvelous geologic feature in the Bamiyan valley of Afghanistan while I was at a place called the "Afghan Horseman" in Vancouver at Cambie and Broadway. (great restaurant!).
