  1. You'll want to start as early as possible. We started around 0130 and the sonw was firm. The a couple of snow bridges did get a little soupy and one of us punched through. We camped around 6100ft in one day we lost about four inches of snow so it's going fast. If you happen to find my camera up there let me know.
  2. Just keep an eye out for the cam and I will.
  3. If you find the camera I'll do my best to get what ever you might want.
  4. Lost on the Easton Glacier Mt Baker. Nykon Coolpix in a black nylon case. Lost below the Roman Wall and above 7000'. Lost on 17 July 04.
  5. Baker Easton Glacier route. Lost my camera there too. Anybody find it?
  6. No name on it unfortunaly but my picture is on the memory card.
  7. Hi Everybody, Well like a true dumas (dumb ass) I lost my camera somewhere below the Roman Wall and somewhere above 7000' on the Easton Glacier last weekend. It was a Nikon Cool pix in a black nylon case. I don't even have an epic story as to why I lost it. I just set it down and walked away from it. If anyone finds it please send me a PM. The reward is a case of beer.
  8. If that does belong Skagit MR they need to contact (360)-336-3146 and Initiate a report. That's the PH# for Skagit Co Sheriff Dept. They can get a hold of e-bay and get all the info on the seller.
  9. Did you take any pics of these new lines?
  10. I'm partial to canister stoves. I had a mishap once at Vantage. To make a long story short I set the Rhino Liner in my truck bed on fire a couple of years back. If any of you were witness to that I'd love to hear a third party account. But to get back on subject. I've had good luck with canister stoves even in colder weather. The only extreme measure I had to take was walking around with the canister inside my jacket to get it lit, then I boiled a cup of water and sat the canister in that to finish my cooking. But that was bitter cold conditions that I shouldn't have been out in anyway. Just ask yourself. Are you more interested in light weight. Or are you willing to sacrifice a little weight for multi fuel capabilities.
  11. When was the last time WSR was open?
  12. I still need to conquer the terrestrial first.
  13. In my Mountain Hardware Conduit bivy I find the condensation collects around my feet so I started leaving the bottom zipper unzipped about 18 inches. This helped quit a bit.
  14. Wow, that sounds like a doosy. I second the notion of contacting one of the fine outdoor organizations the NW has to offer. Be it The Mountaineers, Boalps, or the Bushwhackers. Also hang out the rock gyms and use this site to network, ask questions, and share your lessons learned. I for one would like to hear more about that fall and the rescue. Good Luck!
  15. I've got two: A) Why don't you just try a little fu%&'en harder? B) We don't all get to fu%& the monkey some of have to hold the tail.

  20. Hey John, you might want to contact places like play it again sport and second acsents that take in used outdoor gear for cash. Those are just a couple in this area and I'm sure you have simular places around the Portland area.
  21. Nope, I haven't sprung for the lithiums because I keep telling my self i'm going to get a better camera. I just have to resort to keeping the batteries next to the skin until I want to take a pic. But if it's cold enough for the batery to freeze I usually have on to many layers to easily get to bear skin to warm them up.
  22. I wish I could. My camera battery froze.
