I own the Suunto Altimax. I've only used on one trip to Camp Muir. I was surprised to see that it read the same altitude in the Paradise parking lot on the return that it did on the start. There was even I major shift in weather overnight. I'm happy with it. But it's my first one so I have nothing to compare it with.

Make sure your road to recovery is a slow and gradual one. I'm recovering from a compressed disk in my back. I'm climbing again after 20 months of not climbing I'm slowly working my way back into the grove. I consult a physical therepist often and I don't ever push it. Know limits and don't try to push beyond them. Good job on getting back in the saddle.

I'm in the market for a floorless tent for the snow. Does anybody have any good beta on either tent. I'm currious about how they perform in the wind as well as floor space ect.
