Are you kidding? They are the only good part of the marriage.

In the era we are talking about, that was not even considered. I have a few suggestions on history books that might be interesting to you and would help round your views out a bit (sorry if that sounds condescending--it honestly is not intended that way).

I rehearse A LOT. Still can't do anything to a 14c. It's absolutely amazing to me. Even when I see someone climb something "really hard" in real life, I am astounded. The full majesty of climbing hits me hard anytime I see anyone do something like this. I simply can't imagine not being blown away by people who perform at such levels.

You are lucky I like hairy men.

Prohibition was a different situation; yet the same in some ways. The Temperance Society was mostly made of women who, without any power or representation in the political/legal system, had no protection from husbands who became abusive when drinking. This was their only effective way to protect themselves from abuse. This is a moral argument for Prohibition.

Arrested, cited, and released. Oooh, what a deterent! It seems like more of a nuisance and hassle than anything really harmful to them. And enforcement is arbitrary and hardly comprehensive. Thanks for making my point. So why waste the time and money? Hold on, buddy. My point was that legalizing prostitution does not mean you have happy, wonderful lives for these women, as claimed by one poster in this thread. "they are paid for sex, what could be better?" That's all I am responding to. It's a fantasy. Being the voice of reason in this discussion won't get you anywhere.

I'm sure her first concern was impressing you An incredible accomplishment--one I could never dream of doing no matter how many years I climbed. Good for her!

Simply phenomenal. What are the odds? Marriage is not a contract. It is an insurance policy... for the woman! Yeah, insurance against being too happy. Or free. Or getting laid very often.

But what will I do with all that extra money? hookers and blow?
-
Really? I heard yours was right around twenty seconds.

Don't get married. Best advice I can give you.

Why would the rules be different for a male whose SO is the climber/non-climber and the female whose SO is the climber/non-climber? Just b/c I am a female doesn't mean I don't have the same issues as the guys on this site with the climbing gig? Or is it your assumption that every guy is just a natural climber and every chick is a natural lounger?
-
I've always climbed with my SO. Never had a problem. What's the fucking big deal?

I hate to respond to one of your many creepy fucking posts, but I just have to inform you that WA has a pretty clear statutory rape law. There are "years of seperation" between the victim and the perp depending on the victim's age. The scale starts at 12 years old and younger. But I am sure you already knew that. Anyway, is this new poster real or not? I am heading back to BZN soon and wouldn't mind getting some climbing in. What's up?

I tore a pec. It was a full evulsion and was one of the most painful things I have ever experienced. I actually heard it pop. There were no warnings and there was a definite change in appearance. There is still a palpable scarring where it was sewn back together. If you have a full tear or detachment, you will know. A smaller tear will heal on its own in time.

2nd Amendment freedoms restored in National Parks?
archenemy replied to Fairweather's topic in Spray
To lay out the shit everyone already knows about me and don't need to bother using as a point to discredit me with I own guns I hunt I carry a gun with me to my place in Index and back I have had run ins with animals that could damage me The worst ones were the times I didn't have a gun with me I have never killed an animal in self-defense I have been charged by animals aiming to kill me I used to live by the Yellowstone park I have climbed Denali during bear season I've seen a lot of bears. They are scary OK, the boring stuff is over. Should people be able to hunt in Nat'l parks? Absolutely! The herds often grow beyond their space and cause problems. For example, when I lived in WYS, a lot of ranchers lost thier beef b/c bison would carry and transmit brucillus (forgive my spelling) which would kill the cows. Bison were only carriers. They'd outgrown (in numbers) their area and were posing a threat to the livestock that has since moved in and defined the bison's territories. I know that's shitty, but that is what is up. So it is completely reasonable that the park should hold a hunt to get the numbers back down to what they can manage. BTW: Yellowstone allows fishing in its five rivers; and there is a limit. IOW: it is not all catch and release. Hunting in the park would be the same. And to minimize danger to tourists, the hunts can be carried out when other folks aren't there. Winter is great for hunting Elk, Bison, Cougar, and late Bear. Hell, they could sponsor hunts and make a lot of money off it. Now that, my friends, is the American way! -
Anyone on for Sat? Afternoon would be great; aid would be fun. Who's up?

He's so right though. What self-respecting man would date a girlie who would dare challenge him?
