Doesn't this fly in the face of the "Oh, the liberal media is so biased, waaaa waaaa waaaaa" that we usually get from "the Repubs" ?

The fact that we often feel like we have to qualify our remarks with the "I don't agree with so and so, but" in order to say anything about that individual's stance. That's because men pay for it in one way or another, it's either dinners and movies or cash withdrawls, either way there's a paper trail. So many men have been conditioned to believe and repeat this empty bullshit. How could anyone hate themselves enough to think that a woman would only sleep with him because "he pays for it". Why would a man chose to not understand that there are women who actually have sex with the man she is with simply because she loves him?

Read "The Dog Listener" before you buy a dog. If you follow the author's advice, you will be able to raise a puppy. But remember, a puppy will not be ready to protect its home until its about 6 mo. old. On the other hand, a "rescue" dog will also not bond right away. It may also not be a natural watchdog, so be sure you request that trait before adopting. Another thing you can try is to foster a dog. I've done this before and had great success. You get the first dibs on adopting, and you get to work on your training skills with the dog.
