  2. today i took a river boat up a canal where migrant Cambodians and Viet Namese live. they travel with the level of the river, which changes twice a year. right now, they are in their small wood huts on the water. they are just beginning to travel back to the hill that they live on during the height of the rainy season. they actually pick up their whole hut, put it on the back of a flatbed and drive up the hill with it. they move their boats by attaching them to the back end of a tractor and toodle on up the hill. the water was "milky'(their description) or ""filthy"(my description). everyone bathes, washes dishes, and pees in the water from the canals/lake. they drink from the water that comes from a well that was put in by ANK; a company funded by travel agencies. Yummy. the weather is still hot, but I am getting used to it and can actually spend time out in the sun now. I may not look like a Seattlite when I return...
  3. Well, I tried, but she doesn't fit in my carryon. I'll send you some pics though oly!

  6. I posted from thailand right before leaving, so it might seem like i am moving light speed, but i'm not. cambodia is incredible; but today I saw the Killing Fields where Pol Pot murdered so many people only a few years ago. i don't know how familiar ya'll are with recent cambodian history, but i read about this genocide and wanted to see where it happened. i cried. besides that though, the temples are phenomenol. i can't believe the incredible beauty in each of them, and how they all affect me. It is strange that they look the same from afar; like a pile of rocks. but when you get up close, their detail and intricate architecture becomes visible. Amazing. between Thailand and Cambodia, I would choose Cambodia. The people are desperately poor, but also serene and gentle. I am looking forward to Viet Nam. Í'll write ya'll from there...
  7. I went to the Killing Fields and saws the bones of people who were murdered by Pol Pot.

  11. Seems like the visa issue will be a non issue. I have had no troubles here in Thailand, except the trouble I have found myself. Muay Thai boxing and lady-boy shows can take up a great deal of effort. I'll TR with pics when I get back ya'll. Thanks for all your advice and help!

    Dear moron,

My girlfriend told me the same thing when I was fucking her. I thought it was just something women said, but then she told me some men, even when they are hard, are not really HARD! Who are you spongey-dicked MF's? C'mon, fess up! Unfortunately, I could answer this question...
  14. Funny that none of you guys mention that the engineering snafu occurred on Valentine's day.
  15. Exactly. And who the hell thinks flies only work in the evening? I use flies all friggen day (sometimes I throw a nymph or two if I have my reel with my forward sinking line on it with me) and I get hits all day. With hatch levels where they are right now, you can't go wrong. God I love summer! Enjoy
  16. Oh wait, a lawyer would first have to prove he has a heart.
  17. Bwaahahhhahaaaaaa so true!
  18. Almost all the river flows and hatch levels are superb right now. Do not use a spinner. (A kitten dies in heaven each time you cast something that lame.) Spinner on one end, fool on the other... Good luck to you!
  19. Roadhouse sounds great. Will Mr. Swayze be there?
  20. either that or walk around with your mouth open
  21. What makes ME sick is the insurance companies trying to fool the public into thinking that legal liability is what is driving a medical industry crisis, or the President's saying that all the asbestos claims are frivolous, or all the completely bullshit fabricated stories of "outrageous" personal injury lawsuits. There are plenty of jerks in the legal profession, and maybe more than in many other but certainly not all professions, but the fact is that it is indeed all about justice. I think we've got a fairly good system and trial lawyers are part of what makes it work. I'd hate to think how our society would look if there were no lawyers, but those who waste all day long on cc.com were running the legal system. Agreed. Politicians are the cream of the crop. Is it a wonder so many of them are also lawyers?
  22. Funny, the computers I buy don't come with any warnings.
  23. I love Kurt Vonnegut.
  24. You talk as if people in Seattle never drive to or through the eastern part of the state. And don't those crazy eastern side Washingtonians drive on the Via duct once or twice in their lives? Or is there some check point I have missed that keeps us off eachothers' roads?
