rbw'66 is a pumped up freak? or is bill the pumped up freak? what does that mean anyway. it's a good idea to flake out a new rope a bunch of times before you climb on it; that's been my experience anyway. but maybe you really did get some kind of defective rope. now if your friend had torn that rope apart with his bare hands...

Gent's a gentleman & a scholar. I tried that route a year ago in December & it was there I learned that I cannot jam to save my life. I blamed the sub-freezing temps though. -

I'd just like to point out that I only eat nature valley granola bars, buy all of my snap links at bc.com, and when I turn 18 I am so going to join the army. afterwards I might take that poorly drawn bus to borneo.

One of my favorites at Beacon.......Pipeline..... the first or second time I went to beacon we were aiding in that area when you got your redpoint on that route. You were pretty stoked. I remember thinking "that guy really enjoys climbing!"

there's exactly 1 song on that list of 100 that's worthy of note: "sultans of swing." that's my 2/100ths of a dollar, anyway.

I'm shivering, just remembering the wind blasting at the top of Jill's. It was fun hanging out in the hobo jungle though. Jim was in fine form. By the way, "?" = Josh, who gets honorable mention for most patient belay.

oh I don't think it will be "dry" tomorrow. nevertheless probably see you guys out there. wish my company was enlightened enough to give us MLK day off, cause Monday is looking nice.

Hey Pitts thanks for sharing the real story. The O and the various TV outlets do more harm than good sometimes in reporting these events. No offense barkernews, I know you do your best to educate your colleagues.

Now that's some fine, fine work. Nice!

Dankish Aid-Land is one of my favorite places to visit (though I'm not quite sure I'd like to live there). I should have crashed your party. did you work off some bad karma?

you guys are LITE! just kidding, slogging through snow that deep sounds like the stuff of nightmares. Nice Man-Ray-esque abstract snow pictures. -
letsroll & I were out there today; the wind kicked up pretty good in the early afternoon, but otherwise a beautiful day & a great way to end 2007. After doing some aiding we went over to the Corner & did the first pitch, which was pretty wet. The slab pitch looked slick above the bulge so we rapped off. Have fun out there tomorrow!

(1) I hope I'm getting over my cold & going skiing. (2) it already died after about page 2; what you're seeing now is the zombie-baby-jesus manifestation of the christians climbing denali thread.

on the other end of the spectrum, they also have trango ballnutz on sale. Any difference between Trango's ball nuts and the Camp version? I'd like to get a couple of these on my rack, they seem more solid than cams in the same range.

c'mon Carl you used to live in Portland, this happens like every other day down here.
