Quit changing the topic scotty!

Before you tell me to flick the spec out of my eye perhaps you should remove the plank out of yours.

... except for the link between us and them...

Zero on that one. No link between Iraq and any terrorist organization has been identified.

If you are lucky she will ask you to go climbing. but... as this as uncommon as water ice in WA it is my (most likely incorrect male based) opinion that women are very attracted to confidence. Generally most of us fail at this because too much confidence equates to cockiness or egotism (not that I have ever experience this ). Try a direct approach: ask her out. Perhaps a few of the ladies might allow us neanderthals a few hints into what I describe as the modern day equivalence of the mystery of fire… its warmth… its needs… getting burnt… putting things out. That is: the female mind.

Because chevron doesn't (at this point).

If those are the "reasons" then we are a country of hypocrites.

My purpose of citing the patriot act was to illustrate the power of states/local rights when people unite in opposition or support of something the federal government dictates. Other examples would include medical marijuana, gay marriage, and so on.

What does "kicking ass" have to do with WMD or bringing democracy to people? Isn't that how georgie justified the war? "Only the paranoid survive." Andrew Grove

I whole heartily agree with everyone’s sediments here; my outlook on the next four years (and all those after that required to clean things up) is dismal to say the least. With that said I would encourage people to keep in mind the only thing gained by whining is wasted breath… the election is what is. In lieu of the election results I personally remain optimistic by solely not losing site of the huge voter turn out this election (though where we you all in 2000?)… No matter how you slice it voters are conscious and concerned… this level of consciousness is exactly what we need to continue employing this thing called democracy… Specifically state and local rights can be every bit as powerful as the federal government… one of my favorite examples occurred in May of last year when Philadelphia City Council joined 115 other local and state governments (Ashland, OR being one of them) around the country to call for the repeal of the USA Patriot Act. The resolution called for the Philadelphia Congressional Delegation to vigilantly monitor the implementation of the USA Patriot Act and to actively work to repeal the Act. What am I saying? Instead of wondering how we are every going to convince people in the Midwest educated in public schools that have the 10 commandments on the wall but evolution missing from the curriculum that mercury actually isn’t good for you realize that we already have a majority here… work to change things here. And next time you look at the Electoral College map and see that little blue strip on the left just remember we don’t need them to preserve the way of life that so many of us came here in the first place. Peace!

I think Layton has a pair... ask him if you can pull him away from his poll.

You should use the mullet photo...

The guidebook author posts on this page as retired (hi Jim!) and is probably one of the most positive, enthusiastic climbers I have ever met. PM him.

Could this photo be any more gay?

Hey turd Even though you… -bonk before I’ve had my first GU -have prompted me to start carrying ear plugs in my first aid kit -melt your shorts on the fire (who wears scorch shorts? Jason wears scorch shorts! ) -can’t walk on wooden bridges -can’t drive for more than an hour at a time roadtrippin' -put 4 sugars in your coffee -haven’t mastered the west coast saunter (even wonder why my gaiters don’t have holes in them… ahhh… enter the west coast saunter ) -think that 2 shout out in 2 songs (Kanye and Atmosphere) makes the Midwest legitimate -fall on homemade pitons older than you right off the anchor… …you’re still a good climbing partner (though this might be because you’re the only partner I have that still falls for the “oh… It won’t be that bad this time of year” trick) and above all a good friend. I will go extreme backpacking and heck… maybe even climbing with you anytime. Enjoy your quarter life crisis… make it a good one.

And the idea that short over polypro is acceptable climbing attire... The boss spotted them and chatted for awhile... I was too busy cussing at McKenzie so I didn't get a chance to talk to them.
