    My stepfather....

Tell us how you really feel.
  5. You recall correctly, but:
  6. you just wanted to resurrect your solo of the SW rib!
  7. that's 5.7 = probably too hard.
  8. Uncle tricky is tending bar in twisp, and recently bought property from some folks I know! maybe next time you fail at WA Pass and are feeling low, head down to the watering hole and have him spin you some yarns.
  9. M.F. Twight's got to be a millionaire, but i bet he's just a lurker now.
  10. Anyone else driving back toward Bellingham on Sunday? My ride home situation is rapidly deteriorating.
  11. pm me if interested. I should roll into leavenworth around 8 or 9.
  12. course scott'teryx sells superflys for that price as well, and they are better than all of those. sales@questalb.com
  13. I've got a #5 camalot, that covers the bottom end of the range of teh trango BB #3. I'm in bellingham as well. 788 8025. REI sells them and has no-question returns. -blake
  14. there was a sale, it is no longer in effect, you are free to go about your business, you don't need to see our identification, these are not the droids you're looking for.
  15. nolse can ropegun it, but be wary of his belaying abilities if you fall.
  16. i bought a #1 maxcam on sale in pdx, and i've used in on about 8 pitches since then. the expansion range is really nice, as it always seems to work. Placing it when you can't see exactly where everything is, or if there will be lots of rope wiggle can be problematic, as its more prone to walking into placements, IMO.

  18. The Wenatchee National forest adjacent to the NCNP has also allowed many miles of trails to be reclaimed by nature since the park's inception.
  19. yes, but it didn't exist for a long time, then it was rebuilt. After the lookout was burned, the trail stopped being maintained and became woods. The old route used to be ~8 miles, and the new one is ~5. New trail built sometime in the 1980s, probably some bored trail crew in Stehekin looking for a project. Not that this trail is particularly significant (although i know gusy who've used it to descend Goode). Maybe this extreme thread drift belongs on the NOCA trivia thread. You are of course right though, that trail mileage has declined, not increased, recently and since the park's inception.
  20. just saying "beckey route" is smart, because odds are that someone bootied this type of cam from SOME beckey route somewhere, and you might just get it now.
  21. i laybacked it as well, but pumpage took over part way up. i thought it was a great line though. Free for all (w/the 10a side start) plus the next two pitches up through the OW and the 10c handcrack form a really nice direct line that incorporates a ton of different climbing techniques!
  22. I thought that my hands/fingers were really smooth after climbing on that rock. it sands them down. i could climb 5.11 slabs no problem on that stuff!
  23. joseph, what do you think the crux of YW is? after 2 times, i'd say either that A-frame roof, thw wide stemming in that crackless corner, or the bolted slab move, that seems optional. is 3rd pitch of dodd's jam fair @ .10c?
  24. it'll be in bellingham again too. canadians welcome.
