Couple of thought from someone who's been there: Try to be careful with the pain meds. It's a tough go when you first start walking again. A massage to do some lymphatic drainage and stimulate circulation will do your body good. If that's why GGK is asking if you are still in the 'ham, and he's offering you one, take him up on it. For what it's worth I just wrote up a pack test for WT and the best conclusion I came away with is fill the pack you want to buy with the stuff you are going to put in it. Different packs carry loads differently and advertised volumes are often incorrect. Try it on with your own stuff in it, take it home and try again, and then decide. A pack is something you are going to be stuck with for a long time.

I'm wondering how you naysayers know how long said bad-English-speaking immigrants have been here, and how hard they may have worked or not worked to learn English. It certainly can't be from asking them if their English is not very good!

Well, for one thing, we don't have a national language here....and for another, we've always welcomed immigrants with fairly open arms. In fact most of us descended from immigrants who may or may not have spoken English as their first language (mine didn't), it's just that we've been here longer than others. Sure, it's frustrating to talk with someone who is not a native English speaker, and sure, most of us here in the USA are native English speakers, but heck, have a little patience and tolerance, and all will be well in the world. PS. Walmart is icky.
