  1. Smith is already overrun with trails and climbers. The place has been so trashed, it's damage control that the SpringThing focuses on. Leave the trees at Index alone.

    Remember This?

SprayShaw, you have too much time on your hands. Go hump a goat.
  3. Please, I really enjoy the trees, as well as the "dank mossy factor" at the base of the routes. Please leave it alone. And AlpineK, you seem to belong in the "hate" group you mentioned. I'm a realist, and not a tree hugger. Please acknowledge that. I just don't see the rational. Don't make more human impact visible at the crags. Just because they have already been altered by humans, doesn't mean we have to change them more. Clean climbing involves more than no bolts. "Hey, here's a landfill. Well, it's already ruined, let's dump some toxic waste." Are you really that dumb? I hope not.
  4. You preach low impact, but advocate impact. Don't be stupid, the trees don't affect the routes significantly; why change it? Climbing is about the natural environment, if I want to climb in a gym, I'll go to Stone Gardens. Sure, climbers have some impact, but why make it worse. For the dumbfucks who argue about bolting, why the fuck aren't you defending the environment? Chopping down trees has FAR greater impacts than a few bolts. Not everything should be changed for our convenience, assholes. Leave some things alone.
  5. ALL LIVING THINGS ARE SACRED UNLESS I CAN EAT THEM! And why would you want to cut them down? Just because it's your profession...
  6. I meant in pants. No schoeller fabric is totally windproof. Take your "windproof" schoeller, and try to blow air through it. I guarantee that you will be able to. The only truely windproof softshell fabric I've seen is the Patagonia Dimension, and they don't make pants out of that fabric.
  7. Question: why can't anybody come up with a scholler-type fabric that is truely windPROOF, but cool enough to wear hiking in to a climb in summer? Most of these soft shell things blow due to their lack of windproofness. For example, the Serendipity is not much more windproof than fleece! Give me a break!
  8. So I said I was going to get it for skiing. I don't climb unless it's sunny, and even then, well.... Um, I wear these things on my hands when I am skiing, I think they are called gloves. They have these gauntlet doohickey things on them, and that keeps the snow out. They work real good! Whew, thanks, can I? There are better jackets for the money.
  9. It looks fine when you are standing with your arms at your sides. Now try lifting your arms above your head, as if you're climbing. Yes, that's right, the hem raises about 8 inches, and the sleeves pull back so your forearm is exposed. Excellent. Now take a fall in powder, head-first, arms stretched out. Wonderful. Due to a lack of cuff seals, now your forearms are encased with snow. Yummy. Go buy the thing, I don't care.
  10. ...and it fits like a garbage sack...

  12. Wow, where can you do that? Headed to Mt. Torment Sunday, maybe cragging Saturday. IHOP. Though them waitresses aren't even all that attractive. What a sicko!
  13. Didn't you just get TMEXs with freerides and Denalis? What do you need more skis for? Two is plenty.

    Earthquake!

Dru's so dumb he asks for a price check at the dollar store. Dru's so fat he has his own congressman. Oh, and your mama's so fat, but I fucked her anyways! LOL!
  15. You can sum up Extreeeeeemmtpansy quite easily: LOL
  16. Why no hood? I like the looks of the 'Gucci Krushell.
  17. Don't be stupid, just use the damn thing. REI might suck, but it doesn't suck that bad.
  18. For all you bleeding-heart liberals: Bush != Chimp. The chimp is a better speaker. Get it right, and stop insulting monkeys.
  19. Yeah, but then you get clueless idiots anchoring off to the stairs at Smith, clipping in to their gear loops!
