  2. i could do it. depends on if you can still kick my 5.8/5.9 trad ass even after your surgery. :-)
  3. how do you know it's not going to rain?
  4. sounds like everyone's going to be sitting around the coffeeshop/pub watching the rain come down.... Reminds me of Mt. Cook National Park
  5. seems like everywhere is getting rain this weekend...leavenworth....smith....unless the forecasts are all crap.
  6. i got it to work. let me take a look at them again tonight and remember how. they snap on nice and tight now. haven't used em yet though. :-(

  17. now that she's summited, she doesn't just hate strong women climbers on Everest, she hates strong climbers everywhere!
  18. oh man, that's just sick and wrong...
  19. maybe someone decided that conservatives should be on the 'user pays' system whereas liberals would be subsidized. Since you haven't paid your membership ... Of course, this begs the question as to how they deal with middle of the road types..... Girls don't seem to get banned but that may be because they don't participate so much in the testosterone fueled sprayfests so common here. Or, there may be another reason.....
  20. While we're on this, maybe we can do something for the rescue team too. I know that YOSAR takes donations to cover expenses.
  21. And when the government tries to get them to pay to clean it up, they fight it in court....
  22. It's like my dad. Moan, whine, complain but never actually do anything.
  23. Exactly. If he feels government isn't up to the job he should be *paying* some private company to mow the median strips.
  24. Yes yes. Very environmentally friendly. Use of nasty two-stroke lawn mower. Use of pesticides/herbicides/fungicides. Filling up of land fills with grass clippings. Increased run-off which dumps said pesticides, etc into the water supply. Absolutely no living organisms allowed on said lawn except lawn (i.e. immediate destruction of snakes and rodentia which are food sources for raptors, foxes, etc) Yes. I see it now. Fine ecostewards they are. Don't even get me started on the environmental tragedies called 'golf courses'. How can one complain that government isn't 'doing it's job' when in fact you voted with your taxes that that is not the job you want them to be doing? If he's such a good steward and a fine conservative, he should be out there mowing the median strips himself. That's community action!
  25. That's why the sputnik's use them on siberian forest fires.
