  1. It's all about the smile on your face, who gives a shit what your riding? My preference is the attitude of the peeps i go riding/skiing with, i don't really care what tools they use. If your a boarder don't bro bra out, quit spraying. If you tele quit telling everyone how "pure" and "much harder" it is. Just enjoy times with friends(or solo)making turns in snow. It's that simple.
  2. Now it's happening to me as well!! Either way i try to put the photos in(icon off TR) or the gallery I get shut down after waiting for the photos to upload. Got any ideas Timmy? Josh
  3. It's ready to go up to Bath Rock. Access is a bit muddy after that. E. side of Breadloaves is good. The weather is gonna be good over there this weekend, a bit windy but sunny and warm. Get after it.
  4. Red Rover is gear, run-out gear, not a sport climb. It was a while back so maybe it's been bolted, i hope not. You don't top out(at least i couldn't find a 5.8 way)that's why you can't use a gear anchor. I lowered off the single bolt but the route may have kept going, but with a 5.8 rating it seemed off. Pretty cool route though.
  5. Used once for practice but basically brand new. Super dope beacon, you may be able to trick the feds into thinking it's a PLB. When used together you can tell if victim is alive. 2 for $500
  6. Hell no, thought about it just for old times. But i didn't have a bivy and my PLB. SE Ridge soon? JL
  7. Road's melted out to within 1.5 miles of the TH. If you got a burly truck with clearance you can push in farther. Saw 3 or 4 cars parked there, anybody here? Whatcha get on back there? Anyone? JL
  8. Healthy snowpack in the C.O. right now. We just got a little dump so the corn during your stay should be ripe. Ya never know it could start snowing again, but it looks more like less precip. The road still won't be open so either your skinning from S. Sister or bumming rides will sledneckers. Hold up a PBR tall boy and ask for a ride. If you have a couple days S. Sister should be really good.
  9. If the snow continues to suck I'll go. It's a pretty major drive for me(Bend) but I love Blodgett. I've been on the route a few times, about 10 years ago. One of my favorites for sure

    Sisters ?

I haven't been up there in a while but typically, and after yesterday's snow, your lucky if you can get to mile marker 5. This means a good 7 mile hike/skin to the Pole Creek TH. Josh
  11. That's my boy. It must be that 30th b-day coming up that's got you killing it.
  12. An ok day in the BC, a damn good day at Bachy. We got freshiez again.
  13. Looks like his belay device on the snow below him?
  14. Both 9 and 11 are in great shape right now. Boot pack up both, and some brave soul skiied 11 in less than ideal conditions. Didn't bother to traverse over to the summit, just rapped back down 9 off the extremely convenient rap webbing/ring up top. Beautiful day out there today, really good climbing conditions, survival skiing for sure. Oh yeah, some total ass sledneckers thought it would be a good idea to sled into the bowl and high mark halfway up High Noon. This kind of blatant disregard for the wilderness boundary will end up hurting us all. If i ever see someone up there on a sled I'll hit em with my board. Or a flare. Josh
  15. Really depends on conditions, and how you plan on approaching the NW Ridge. Are you going in Green Lakes? Just realize the road will be gated, w/out a sled your looking at pretty hefty approach. You may need a rope for the last pitch if it's really icy, depends on your comfort level. A picket or two might be good but i doubt screws are gonna do much for you. The majority of the ridge is pretty chill with decent exposure as you go higher.
  16. Can you say Dawn Patrol? What time did you get there?
  17. Thought i loaded the photos. Obviously i don't know what i'm doing. Might of went to the photo gallery. sorry. Josh
  18. Trip: Central Oregon - Da Chutes Date: 1/16/2007 Trip Report: Spent the last 4 days out at this spot. Finally found the easy access to the steeper lines. Lots of N. facing aspects to keep the powder nice and soft. Warmed up a bit yesterday so the E. facing stuff got a bit dense. Climbing up the ridge to gain the chutes was ICY. My friend got the poons and i got a tool. Easy after that. Had the entire bowl to myself on Sunday and then back out there yesterday with a friend. Gear Notes: Snowmo splitboard poon' and a tool Black Bush- if you don't know go find some. Approach Notes: Sled ride with a 40 minute skin to the top.
  19. 10b is a stretch on those pitches, especially the 2nd. 5.9 even when it's cold. The top pitch most people clip and then traverse a good 6ft. to the right and pull over on big holds, no feet. Actually about 10 years ago a 2x2 chunk fell off the bottom of the first pitch. I'd say it bumped up to easy 5.9 after that. Your rope tarp is on the piece when you belay. You can see how it fits into the gap. My favorite multi-pitch in the park.
  20. How about Paulina? BT? Big wide open powder bowl. You'll make 20 turns I'll make 2. Put the $ where your mouth is.
  21. You would loose! And yes I know how to ski. Let's do this shit, put your $ where you mouth is.
