Talking about crap movies. I watched 'Wrong Turn' last night. It's one of those killer slasher type films. Set in rural West Virginia. That's probably all the plot setup you need. BTW, the victims are all rock climbers and mtn bikers.

Talking about tasteless. How about some of the gift items offered at the 12 Days of Kitschmas ( Ship of Fools: the Magazine of Christian Unrest ). Here's an example of their fine wares: "As everyone knows, God hates fags. So isn't it time you got the message? Maybe you've tried everything. Hypnosis, nicotine patches, ultra-ultra lights, coughing in tongues. Well, how about the ultimate aversion therapy? Just gaze into the bearded face and tear-rimmed eyes of the one who has been successfully inducing guilt for centuries. And pray the Penitent Smoker's Prayer: "Jesus, gimme a light, willya?" Disclaimer: The above entry is an attempt at tasteless humor. Don't take it personally.

Dow Jones Industrial Average 9,924.31 12/04/03 04:16 PM Eastern Time Quotes delayed by at least 20 minutes I wouldn't doubt it achieving or surpassing 10,000 this month. Appears that the general trend over the last three months is rising. I haven't followed the markets, etc. since the '90s, so won't venture a guess market will be up or down relative to a hypothetical 10k level.

I saw Debra Harry's boobs in David Croneberg's Videodrome. She had an exotic sexy look back in the day but I saw her in one of John Waters' movies, think it was Pink Flamingos, and she looked haggard. But I guess her best quality was her voice.

Your opinion, Cpt. FWIW, I don't hate Bush or idolize the Clinton years.
-
Likewise, so were some of the examples listed in the Clinton 'hit list'. Maybe we should focus on the basis for the Iraqi war. Did the Bush administration cook the evidence or proceed with questionable intel to sell the Iraqi war to the people? It's like they're telling us, our only duty as the people is to make sacrifices without question to the state. And, after you make the blood sacrifices then you and your children will pay with an onerous public debt.
-
Well, the members of the Bush team sure aren't pansy waists. Even Grandma Bush is in the game. Barbara Bush:" you can criticize me, but don't criticize my children and don't criticize my daughters-in-law and don't criticize my husband, or you're dead." Barbara Bush Threatens Democratic Presidential Candidates--CNN LARRY KING LIVE There's a similar list of questionable deaths associated with the Bush cabal. Here's one: One man's opinion: Evidence indicates that Wellstone crash was no accident --excerpts from Wellstone article: Michael Ruppert (from the wilderness.com, Nov. 1, 2002) has reported, "The day after the crash I received a message from a former CIA operative who has proven extremely reliable in the past and who is personally familiar with these kinds of assassinations. The message read, 'As I said earlier, having played ball (and still playing in some respects) with this current crop of reinvigorated old white men, these clowns are nobody to screw around with. There will be a few more strategic accidents. You can be certain of that.' " If you think that's a stretch, consider: Hundreds of young Americans have been put in harm's way by a war that was promoted on the basis of lies about weapons of mass destruction, collaboration with Osama bin Laden, and Sept. 11. Some 3,000 Americans were killed when the Twin Towers collapsed, and yet the president and the vice president of the United States have done everything they can to obstruct a open and honest investigation of the causes of that traumatic event. And when a leak from his own administration leads to the exposure of a CIA operative concerned with weapons of mass destruction, the President tells us "we may never know." This is a corrupt administration. ---end of excerpts Give the Bush admin. two terms and see if the list increases. Conspiracy theory or assassinations?

You're talkin' about a cult of personality. Here's the real dope. Good-bye, Mr. President: The Secret Resignation Letters The President's administration are the ones who run the show. I don't see a vote of confidence by his staff.

Umm...do a Google search for 'miserable failure'. Seriously.

Ahh...I fathered a black child during one of my party days? I'm born again, I tell you. I stopped drinking. Paid my dues. This must be some kind of mistake. Oh, shit...

Yeah, I hear ya. But from the present pool of candidates, that would mean placing your money on someone like Gephardt who is well known for his protectionist position. Pat Buchanan was another one who advocated this stance but he was nixed for his standing on other issues. I heard that one of the causes of the Great Depression was a breakdown in world trade precipitated by protectionism. So I'm leery of a solution that calls for something like steel tariffs.

Yeah that's it. EDS. Bull Simons. There's a whole lot of strangeness surrounding the Iranian situation including the hostage deal and the 1980 elections.

Yeah I went to Bermuda about 11 years ago and one of the things I remember is the incessant sound of the tree frogs at night. And those frogs were kinda cute too. Frogs are ok.
-
Yeah, I remember hearing that he was very involved with bringing back former POWs from Vietnam to the point where his companies would be involved in quasimilitary type extraction activities. Is this right or have I made this up?

Somehow it doesn't sound like pure altruism. There must be some angle, for instance, when Gates gave away computers to schools, well, he was pushing his operating system. He gets the PR for being a nice guy, all the while it's a shrewd marketing scheme. These guys don't get to millionaire/billionaire by being nice. I heard that Perot encouraged fierce loyalty from his employees to the point where he suggested that unmarriaged employees contributed the most to his companies because they didn't have to divide their loyalty with family obligations.

Where are you hopping to, little froggy? Can't you see that all that jumping is not taking you anywhere? (p.s., I'm not harshing on you Ehmmic. Just talkin' about the frog.)

These super rich bastards get off on fuckin' with people because they can. For instance, George Soros, who some have blamed for the 1997 Asian financial crisis, has pledged to use his money to defeat Bush. I don't believe Soros is doing it for the good of the nation or the world or whatever, it's because he enjoys the power play. Ultimately, these rich people are only interested in preserving their power even if that means improverishing a nation by doing so.

Really, I don't see what we can do about this. Flight of capital and jobs (to decrease wage pressure) and maximization of profit go hand in hand.
